Hi all,

After having taken pills on a night out about 5-6 weeks ago my stomach has become irritable. It seems to manifest whenever i drink tea/coffee, i get a (mild) unease in my stomach with occasional reflux. Im unsure as to whether a potential adulterant, or the MD itself damaged my stomach/intestinal lining, or if the change to my serotonin is causing too much bile to be produced by the gallblader. In either case, would prescription pump inhibitors/antacids resolve the problem ? - thoughts would be appreciated

Have you been to a doctor? I had digestion problems recently and they've disappearenced since I started drinking Yakult daily

Tea/ Coffee = Caffeine content is upsetting your stomach.

I actually get this myself but i have done quite a lot of different drugs and pills , surprised im not a giant rattling pac man .

if it continues i would seek medical advise, it may be unrelated to taking the pills even or it may be a stomach ulcer , we can only guess really.
Do you do any other drugs? Any opiates?

Nope, only es, and not that often - once every 6 weeks or so, i don't drink much either, and don't smoke at all (my diet isn't bad but im fond of ultra hot/spicy foods which may have something to do with it). Last time i was out i was an idiot and took allot of shitty unidentified pills - (had a bit of drink on me and was at a rave ect) , i think this triggered/exasperated it. Im putting it down to whatever they where cut with as opposed to the MD itself. My stomach feels fine now, spicy foods are grand and caffeine is ok in small doses but anything major causes irritation/mild pain.

Well 1 week is normal as your serotonin levels are taking 2/3 weeks to fully replenish !
Serotonin is what manages digestion so no worry (that's why people often poo/vomit during the comeup).
Anyway, if the symptoms lasts more than a month, go and see a doctor . If your bowel is quite sensible now, it could be IBS...
+ You can read my story , to show you that it isn't sometimes minor, and that you should take the signals your body sends you seriously
