I was looking for a tryptamine with (supposedly) little to zero body load, short duration of effects and approximate equivalency to mushrooms. I settled on the 4-HO-DiPT.HCl
Quick background; I'm 52, have well managed hypertension and kidney failure (which is kept in check as long as the blood pressure is). I've tripped about 60-70 times on mushrooms in the last 14 months. I get mild GI distress (some bloating, mild stomach pains and foul gas) from the shrooms. These symptoms seem to increase a bit when I switch strains or if I had a tolerance break of more than 7 days. At the time of trying this compound, I was on a 33 day break (I ate all my shrooms and was too lazy to start another flush).
I dissolved 8.6 mg in 2 ml distilled, deionized water and vortexed slightly. It easily went into solution. Stored in a 2.5 ml microcentrifuge tube, wrapped in parafilm and stored in fridge for ~3 weeks. I prepared several such solutions (~ 8, 10, 12 14 and 16 mg). No problem with solubility for all. The actual compound was weighed on a sub milligram balance.
On the day of trying this, I had no solid breakfast (2 cups of coffee and some OJ), a diet coke for lunch and 2 pieces of lasagna and 2 pieces of quiche for supper.
Substance was consumed ~3.5 hours after eating. About 4 beer on board. I'm aware that this is a sub active dose for most people. No testing for allergic reaction or working my way up from sub mg doses (although I have the capability to do so). The 2 ml of water was added to ice cold OJ. Taste was pleasantly bitter (rather like Alprazolam, which I chew for the taste).
No positive (psychedelic) effects were noted at all, and I wasn't expecting them. After 15 minutes I started to get leg tremors that persisted for about 8 hours. I would call them mild; they didn't prevent me from moving or going to the bathroom. About the 1 hour mark, I started to get diarrhea. I would call this moderate. 41 hours later I still have somewhat loose stools and excessive gas. Appetite was not affected and I have been using electrolyte replacements for about 24 hours.
Was lethargic well into the day after.

(mods, I don't consider this a trip report, but if you think it is, please delete it and I will repost in the trip report section. I consider this to be acute non CNS effects).
