Might be getting tonsils taken out

I don't know how it is over there, but when I had mine taken out all I got was anesthetic for the surgery. Nothing afterwards.

I don't know anyone, or at least I've never had a convo about it to anyone.

but I've also never heard of anyone getting anything but ice cream afterwards. at most, you'd probably get vicodin 5mg, MAYBE 7.5mg.

i got my tonsils out when i was 4, my son got them out too when he was 4,
not sure what anesthetic they knocked us out with, (may have been ket,)
but both of us definitely got an icicle afterwards when came round

I got mine out when I was 19. I was in serious pain. Couldn't sleep that night because of it. Had my mom stress this to the doctor (as I wasn't able to speak for about 4 days afterwards) but the doctor just told her to buy something like paracetamol from the pharmacy.

It fucking sucks. The IV morphine right after surgery was nice, but the doc only gave me liquid codiene. Luckily I hadn't done opes in a few months so my tolerance was really low, but seriously...codiene? So i bitched and got liquid hydrocodne. Mixed together with no tolerance it wasn't that bad.

I remember researching on BL before my surgery and this one kid in Florida got liquid morphine and fentanyl patches (not from his surgeon of course but the pain doc) I was like, damn that's more of a vacation than a recovery.

My wife got 8 oz. of roxicet liquid which made her ill because it was too strong, then they prescribed liquid vicodin which didn't work as well as the roxicet liquid, and then she got demerol 50 mg #30 which didn't work as well as the roxicet liquid either. She ended up back on the roxicet liquid regardless of the side effects because it was the most effective at alleviating her pain.

I was given Vicoprofen 7.5/200mg #30 with acetaminophen when I got mine taken out like 5 years ago. I was given the prescription before I got the surgery. I couldn't imagine haven to go through the pain without a narcotic. Most I've known who get their tonsils removed got some form of Hydrocodone.

They gave my sister tylenol #3..........but that could just be because she is a 13 year old girl who has never taken any opiate before.

Usually the doctor prescribes the narcotic/medicine before the surgery so you already have it when the pain begins. Of course you will be in pain once the procedure is over so you shouldn't need to stress that. Just ask your doctor to give you something for the pain beforehand and he'll prescribe something. Chances are he will give you hydrocodone or codeine. Usually a Schedule II drug isn't dispensed, as doctors like to avoid this as much as possible, but that is just from my experience and others I've known who got their tonsils removed.

false alarm aparently i might have mono and bronchitus so i got put on this cefdinir stuff idfk what it is prolly just an antibiotic

Man canada sux for pain scripts unless ya get one of those shady ones .
I have had many surgeries and broken damn neer everythig in my body etc etc etc ,and all i ever get is feekin T3s...
yet my buddy whose back is fucked up way less than mine is is gettin 80 mg oxies for it each moth ,the basterd,
Thats the only time ive ever tried them and it happend to be after a knee surgery and man did it work took all my pain away and made me feel great so i asked him and his old lady to go for a walk which i never do but was enjoying the pain free experience ive never known before..
BTW i took it VIA snorting...

^ Yeah Canada is very strict when it comes to handing out narcotics. Unless you know a shady doctor, its damn near impossible to get anything stronger than Tylenol #3's.

That sucks. I wonder why you guys up there don't have hydrocodone. They probably don't want to hand out anything more than a Schedule III drug. (I mean anything better than Codeine)

We do have Hydrocodone up here, but is EXTREMELY rarely prescribed.
Most docs will just rather write Percocet instead, And our Percocet formulation up here contains only 5mg of Oxycodone and 325mg of Acetaminophen. If youg et your tonsils removed up here in Canada, they will give you Liquid Tylneol #4. That or Percocet.

We do have Hydrocodone up here, but like I said its extremely rare, and mainly with a combination of cough syrup or Tussionex.
But we also have Hydrocodone up here in 5mg tablets (Called Hycodan) containing no APAP or NSAIDs, Just straight Hydrocodone. I have never ran into these on the street here though. But damn if I did, I would grab a LOT. Just because I've only had Hydrofodone in Hawaii as Vicodin, both 5mg/500mg I believe, and also the Vicodin 7.5.

Here is the company that makes Hycodan with a picutire as well

The tablets are white and contain 5mg of Hydrocodone Bitartrate.

I wish I could get these prescribed for opiate withdrawal, that would really work I think, since they are only 5mg and I could get my father or mother to dispense them to me. This would work out excellent I think, if only I could get a doc to prescribe them. :\
