Thought I should introduce myself!
I'm 41 and had a fair amount of experience back in my teenage years. Quite a number of acid trips (maybe 100 or so) culminating in a couple of months of fairly heavy usage of microdots which were going around in the early nineties. Although most of my experimentation was conducted in group settings, I reached a stage where (I thought) I was experienced enough to trip alone with no problems. I did this quite a number of times with no issues, but on one particular night I was in my bedroom (in my parent's house at the time being 17 or so) and dropped two microdots. I'd never experienced such a rapid come up and within 15 minutes I was in a panic. The trip itself us a long story which I may write up at some point, but it was my last trip for a long time.

After that I was a heavy user of cannabis for about 11 years (talking about roughly half an ounce a week) before quitting smoking.

Anyway, I recently discovered vaping (about three years ago) and now partake of the occasional session, being much more able to control the urges to overindulge these days and am able to enjoy it once in a while.

In addition, I discovered a whole new world of RCs and just how easy they are to acquire. So starting with 2C-B I've reacquainted myself with tripping, moving through 2C-B, 2C-C, 4-HO-MET, 2C-E, DOC and 2C-P.

My favourite has to be DOC, closely followed by 2C-E. Perhaps because of my age I seem to be able to handle whatever gets thrown at me better than in my younger days. I see it as a kind of response to mid-life crisis; some buy sports cars, some leave their wives to live with someone younger and others turn to RCs!

I've found that it unlocks a lot of memories. One of the causes of mid-life crisis, IMHO, is that you are reflecting on your life. Lots of 'what if?' questions and have I wasted my life. Being under the influence of strong psychedelics has really helped me to rationalise my life experience up to now and has left me feeling better than ever. Don't get me wrong; I wasn't depressed beforehand and my life was good, but now I can see that it is in fact great!

I've written (rather badly, albeit a first effort) a trip report on a recent DOC/2C-P/2C-C trip, but not in any real depth. I will endeavour to write some further reports which, I hope, will prove much more interesting. The process of writing is extremely cathartic and really helps to fully take in all that has happened. With that in mind I'd like to thank everyone who takes the time to write reports.

See you all around!
