Microgram Bulletin UPDATED

I'm thinking it was more of a novelty thing and someone had a bunch of bulk powder laying around. If to smuggle, why stamp it with the giveaway telltale xanax art? Seems unlikely it would be stable enough to withstand printing after the fact.

Why would it be for smuggling?

I can think of the most obvious reason this Xanax blotter was made. Someone bought a kilo of bulk alprazolam, and wanted to sell it. They were afraid to try to purchase a pill press because they knew the DEA watches that shit. They knew that it'd be a royal pain in the ass to weigh out individual doses and put them into gelcaps. They knew selling pure powder, even 100mg at a time, was extremely dangerous because some of the customers would end up with DUIs and public intoxication charges and bring the police to the dealer's house.

So, they printed cool xanny bar art onto blotter paper, made an ethanol solution of alprazolam with a calculated amount of powder so as to be perfect for laying onto the blotters, and they quickly laid a bunch of sheets.

That was easier than pressing a batch of pills, and using a familiar concept (Xanax bars) makes them easy to sell and takes care of the safety issues as best as possible.
 
You'd be pretty stupid to try smuggling E in WEED. How dumb would you have to be?

But yeah, the alprazolam was definitely just for a safer way to serve it- again, labelling it "Xanax" is pretty fucking stupid if you're smuggling.
 
its possible.. active dosage ranging from 250mcg to 2mg.. though thickness of the paper will increase the more you put on
 
I wonder why the guy just didn't eat all the xanax blotter when he was pulled over. The ex pill crushed up into the blunt made me laugh.

I don't understand the heroin that was already in solution and ready to be shot. Wouldn't it degrade into morphine fairly quick?

Thats what makes this so funny, Someone made 200,000 vials and didn't even know that it would degrade.
 
^ Or maybe it was their master plan for it to degrade into 6-MAM, which is stronger. Was there anything else in the vials (didn't read article)? Well even if they didn't report it, there could have been something in there to slow down the hydrolysis.

Pheniramine and caffeine were also found in some of the vials.

I notice the Xanax blotters were a little larger than the usual LSD blotter. I guess 0-5-1.0mg per blotter. Since many people have trouble sleeping or even relaxing after acid, I can imagine acid dealers buying them at the same time.

What price does a 2mg bar go for in the US? In the UK we only get 0.5 & 1mg xanax.... rohypnol is still out there for private patients at least...

There are a few good sbmissions this month, namely the heroin discs that were covered with chocolate and made to look like moon pies lol....67% and adulterated with thiamine. Looks like some bombin ass dope tho. Ive seen dope like that before, pressed into the shape of a hockey puck.
 
Jesus H what the fuck is the deal with BZP and TFMPP on the rise ... they must be getting lazy nowadays... and boy would i love to have scored one of those moon pies at the local store.
 
Damn, they say that "blotter acid" tabs containing LSD are rare, they're mostly seizing tabs with DOI, DOC, or 2c-x (or so they claim).
 
And thats also strange as well considering most of the reports ive read are people claiming that DOI DOB etc all last wayyy too long .. ie tripping well into the next day .. i dont even see it being feasable putting something like that on a blotter unless there was substantial clientell .. now i enjoy acid .. but i sure as hell wouldnt want to trip for 12 + hours.
