I thought the first submission was interesting, a few tons of liquid cocaine. How did they find it though? It was mixed in with diesel fuel, which I found odd, but may be a normal practice. How do they mix it out?

All these seizures, all the time, year after year, and it never seems to do shit on the supply or demand end. It must be almost demeaning working such a pointless job. If they ever did 'win' the war on drugs,it would put themselves out of a job!

I have no clue how they found it, but it would be a fairly easy extraction to get the coke back. It's kind of like shipping in the middle of a phase separation. The hardest part would be the large volume, the chem is easy.

Analysis of the powder (total net mass 594 grams) by UV/VIS, HPLC, and GC/MS confirmed heroin (not quantitated), hydroxyzine, caffeine, O6-monoacetylmorphine, lidocaine, diphenhydramine, and procaine in a 40 : 34 : 29 : 22 : 14 : 2.5 : 1 ratio; aspirin and phenacetin were also identified.

The DEA South Central Laboratory (Dallas, Texas) recently received two plastic bags of off-white powder that did not field test positive for any common drugs (see Photo 8). The exhibit was seized by agents from the DEA El Paso Field Division pursuant to a search of an individual at the Albuquerque, New Mexico, train station (no further details). Analysis of the powder (total net mass 1.75 kilograms) by GC/MS, NMR, FTIR/ATR, and HPLC indicated 3.4 percent fentanyl hydrochloride cut with lactose. This is the largest exhibit of fentanyl hydrochloride ever submitted to the South Central Laboratory.

Fuck, I hope this is just leftover shit from the 2006 outbreak. Hmmm, maybe not, considering its proximity to the Mexican border... FUCK FENTANYL!

^yea that sound slike some scramble dope to me. tho scramble usually doesnt have as much actual heroin in it as the dec microgram submission.

i wonder what the deal with that fent submission is. its practically all lactose. you think it has a smell or tastes bitter?

Nah, afaik, lactose doesn't have a smell. I'm not sure about the taste.

It's a common cut, as it dissolves completely.

I got the impression they cut it with lactose for transport and were going to extract the fentanyl upon arrival. It didn't even cross my mind they would try to sell that shit as dope. FUCK THAT!

Why would you cut something and increase it's weight and footprint for transportation/smuggling? That goes against logistical logic.

They cut it to make it recreational. Regular fentanyl is active at microgram doses, which makes dosing extremely difficult, easily leading to death. BTW, a grain of salt is ~250mcg.

I) A powder identified as dimethylamphetamine;

It was just so cut I thought it was some weird transport technique. Like cut it so much that it doesn't resemble anything but lactose, then extract it when it arrives. Kind of stupid I know, but first thought that popped in my mind, haha.

Well, some smuggling does work like that. Diluting a drug to a level where it's hardly noticeable. AFAIK, this is mostly done by dissolving drugs and applying the dissolved solution to clothing, or some other type of cloth. The drug is then extracted, and concentrated at the destination. I've heard of this being done with heroin. I'm not sure how common it is though.

That may still be detectable by dogs, well, unless they use some type of masking agent.

^yea that is a shit load of MDMA. i can see the gov using this bust to further the whole super ecstasy myth or something. i can see it now, it would read something like MDMA from canada being made into super ecstasy in the USA, thousands of deaths reported.

i wonder why it was all still loose crystal and not pressed pills? 96% is good too, it looked nice and clean from the picture. im not a big fan of MDMA anymore, around here its pretty much all pressed pills and the quality is hit or miss.i would love to have a 150mg cap followed up with 50mgs more a few hours later.
