Miami, FL - 3/23-3/24/07 - Ultra

Well it starts today and I hope I see some BL'rs there. I have three extra tix for today(fri) and Hope I can get rid of them pretty easily. See erebody there! I guess its to late to plan a meetup at the fountain huh? lol One
 
I loved my experience there this year.


However I do have some critisisms, which I will list from greatest to least.

1. Get some more fucking tents so we can get under some goddamn shelter when it pours without being crushed.

2. Have running water in your sinks so we can wash our hands.

3. Isotonic drinks. I know most raves don't have these, but they really should be standard. Many emergencies can be avoided by adding this to the drink selection.

Overall I though the sets were decent. Roger Sanchez kind of threw me off guard, but he had a really good set. I loved the Teebee set. I really wanted to see Grooverider, but the group I was with didn't want to get soaked and I didn't wan't to be all alone tripping out trying to find them again when it was all over, so I watched badboy bill from under the redbull tent by the house stage (he was ok).

Rabbit In the Moon was probably the highlight of the event, I took some MDMA right before, and man did they put on a show. I hear they do the same exact thing every year, so I will probably pass next year, but I enjoyed seeing them live for the first time.

I watched Benny Benassi for a little bit, but we all decided that he was kind of wack, and some of the people I was with really wanted to see PVD, so I went there. I don't like his music too much (understatent [anthem trance :barf:]), and this didn't change after I saw him.

Overall I had a pretty good time before and after the rain, and I enjoyed this year's Ultra more than last year's, but this could have only been because I didn't have any medical emergencies this year.
 
I thought this year was amazing. I had to leave early on Saturday but i still had a great time. I took way too many drugs this year i think though. The list included 10 X, 2 DOx stamps (lasted over 40 hours), ALOT of weed, 1 bump of coke that fucked my life up, and i didnt sleep for over 3 days. This was my 3rd year at ultra and overall i think this was the best ultra ive been to yet. I hope it's 2 days again next year! :)
 
Ultra was fantastic!! Sober as hell (by choice) Friday, and had a GREAT time. Saturday I took a pill right in time for the rain to come pouring down so I was coming up while freezing, wet, and shivering, lol..but in all I had an awesome time. I took 2 semi-alright pills (if I had been anywhere but Ultra I would've been pissed, but was having so much fun I really didn't mind) and ended up having such a good time despite not rolling my ass off. I actually turned down half a free pill..maybe I was rolling harder than I thought?? Heh
 
Ultra 9

Had a blast, went both nights altho my crew was NOT a flat out raving crew (probably saved some money that way) AND did not last the duration (better dancing thru chemistry) I still had fun.

I DANCED my ASS off during TIESTO (bk-MXXX-something NICE!!!)

at one point in the set I thought I was just going to BURST with aural pleasure.

The vibe at ultra was very chill and everyone just seemed to flow.

Drug use was a little too OPEN (using isn't the problem, getting caught using can be some MAJOR bullshit) in my perspective I'm a little older tho and usually error on the side of discretion (going to jail sux kiddies..go to a porta potty or something """ehwww!") (was in jail for ULTRA 4, unrelated but saw some pink haired mohawk guy and knew he was from ultra and his weekend was OVER)

I kinda thought it was a little over priced and under done compared to Ultra 6, but thats just the march of time I supposed.

Loved the people there tho...was very depressed at work today...no techno playing, no happy people...no bk-mXXX something...

This has really become a world wide event and I'll keep going until they stop having them...

Making my U10 plans now...(vip maybe this time and getting tickets in Dec, instead of last minute, like their gonna throw and ultra and I won't go)

And Rabbit in the Moon? Don't Care how many times you've seen it a man in a LED Glowing suit when your on some chems...thats some cool shit!

I enjoyed Ultra.. and this year I didn't get a sunburn! :b The rain was not so bad.. and about the tent thing.. meh.. It was okay. The only major issue with the tents was the big lake of ravergoo in the Carl Cox tent. Hopefully in the future they will avoid having a lowpoint inside one of the tents.. however.. its only a minor gripe. I had fun, and I don't melt in the rain. I was sober the whole time... and I elected to do that for many reasons.. one being the rave/ultra/music event newbie that I had with me. Now... to plan for One more group hug in Canada :D
 
Ultra was fucking amazing this year. 2 stamps, 10 beans, plenty of weed and lots and lots of electronic music, i tripped over 30 hours, rolled both night and had a blast....this was without a doubt my best ultra ever (3rd year) and i already cant fucking WAIT until next year....hell maybe next year ill even meet up with some bl'ers ;)
