I did do a search and noticed a few posts on Methylphenidate, but after reading a good amount of them (I read back to 2010) I still have questions. Also if this post seems a little verbose, it might be because i'm currently pretty high on said substance.
So what I was wondering, my query if you will, is this. What is a safe dose? I understand that a lot factors into this (body weight seems to be the big one), but lets assume an average male, so lets describe this "average male".
24-30 years old
5' 10"
160 lbs (72kg)(11.42 stone)
Average health, no known medical conditions.
And lets assume zero tolerance, and no other substances ingested.
What would be a good dose to start off with? Also the dosing method will be insufflation.
I have had some experience with this drug, once or twice a month on average. I find that an initial dose of 40mg insufflated, followed by 20-30mg "bumps" insufflated every three hours produce a good high. I've heard a lot about the crash, but have never had much of a problem with it. The only side effects noticed are muscle stiffness, a slight headache (intermittently) and a slight rise in heart rate (I keep close watch of my heart rate, I like to check it before re-dosing.) Also at times vision is affected, a slight blurring.
I've never noticed any true euphoria, just a slight elevation in mood. I am also able to focus on one thing, excluding all other stimuli. And of course you can drink alcohol like a fish drinks water. Also in conflict with what others have reported, I find it quite easy to sit in the same position without feeling the need to constantly move around, indeed tonight has been spent relaxing on the couch listening to music.
