With no tolerance, IR methylphenidate doses range from 5 to 10mg orally. Effects should last 2-4 hours, maybe more (or less) depending on individual reaction.

As above, the general starting dose in a stimulant naive adult is usually 10mg. But it can range from 5-20. I would suggest trying 10mg to start. Just swallow it like it was intended to be used, as that is the least harmful/risk of harm ROA.
