will the comedown from methylphenidate become less harsh the more it has been abused or will it always be this bad?

Generally speaking comedowns are always present when you do a substance. They will not fade as tolerance increases, usually people report a decrease in the "high" but the same comedown effect. What ends up happening is the normal amount wont get you high but you will get a comedown from it, more will get you high but you will come down faster and harder.

There is no way around this and moderation is the key to soft comedowns not over abuse, that will drive you crazy.

Methylphenidate comedown is notoriously heavy, man. Try to have some benzos or opiates handy for a comedown in the future.

That´s what really helps. If you get intoxicated by other drugs to handle your high, it´s gonna be a snowball and IMO you´ll be more distance to reasonable. Do what is best for you.

The high gets less euphoric and the comedowns get worse, welcome to the frustrating world of stims. Like someone above me said benzos and opioids work best for comedowns.

Benzos, and especially opiates, assist greatly in a stimulant crash. But simply a glass of orange juice, I have found, will snap you out of it.

People tend to think that amphetamine comedowns are the result of a dopamine depletion, but it is mainly a sugar/vitamin drop that is the culprit. A dopamine deficiency, I think, starts to occur after more long-term abuse.

Ritalin come down was one of the harshest things I've ever experienced in my life. It will always be a terrible comedown. A benzo should stop the comedown in its tracks

I have also found muscle relaxers to aid in the comedown, especially with the muscle spasms that often accompany it. But it helps calm me down, too, and even sometimes puts me to sleep. I use tizanidine (zanaflex) which is a pretty strong one.
