I need to live before I don't know if I'm dead
Hello. I am wondering if an individual were to skip a days dose of abilify (which is an atyptical antipsychotic, dopamine agonist) if that individual would be able to recreationally use methylphenidate without noticeable side effects. The thing that worries me is abilify's extremely long half life of ~75 hours, and how abilify has to build up in one's system over 10-14 days to stabilize. :? some input would be valued immensely, I don't want to just take these and get fucked yah'know?

edit: also I'm pretty sure this doesn't matter, the ssri zoloft is being taken daily as well, also skipped. shouldn't matter methylphenidate being a dopamine reuptake inhibitor

I take 10 mg of abilify a day and have for the past 3 years. I didnt notice any side effects when i snorted methylphenidate, usually around 100 mgs. I think they were 37 mg pills? anyways, abilify just seems to make drugs feel even better. Ive never researched why though :p

Stimulants are commonly prescribed with abilify as an adjunct therapy to ADHD. Some reports suggest that it increases the euphoria of amphetamines since abilify is a partial dopamine agonist. I'm not sure if that applies to methylphenidate also.

Both of these drugs lower the seizure threshold so don't go too crazy on the methylphenidate.

I take abilify and methylphenidate both daily and they don't seem to interact. I take pretty high doses ( 80 mg MPH ) but it doesn't have any recreational effect on me (never has).
