INTRO
I've experimented with various stimulants (Oral ROA) to see if there's anything better than coffee and phenylpiracetam. After looking into dl-methamphetamine and d-amphetamine, I got insight at how subtle a fall into addiction can look, and how it can be easy to fall into a habit that seems normal, when in the long term, it's counter productive and can cause significant problems when not approached in a highly disciplined manner. ie, the negatives outweighed any perceived positives.
Recently I thought to look into methylphenidate and ran two simple trials.
TRIAL 1: 10mg single dose
A quick and short up feeling ~1-2 hours, very similar to coffee + phenylpiracetam, followed by a sharp drop and negative feelings, also ~1-2 hours. Noticed no improvement in focus or motivation but there was strong OCD like thing going on. Whatever I started doing, I just couldn't pull myself away from, so I went to the toilet with my phone and I got stuck there for 30 minutes...
TRIAL 2: 90mg through day, 10mg doses spaced every hour or two
The effect was a constant scattered mindset, a very up down experience and no improvement in productivity or focus, just intense OCD. I wouldget distracted and then sit there reading pages and pages on something I knew was pointless, but I couldn't pull myself away. Was glad it was finished.
SUMMARY
I thought, if I did this every day, I'd be diagnosed with Bipolar and OCD...
There is a sense of scattered OCD which feels frustrating and annoying, with moments of clarity and euphoria, followed by strong negative emotions.
We all get negative emotions, going up and down, but this was up and down 6 times in one day.
I have no desire or interest in using it again, dexedrine is far better and less manic, I find it is also less likely to lead to OCD like behaviour. There were elements of a cocaine like high (oral ROA), but it's nowhere near as pleasant and friendly.
Looks like for me, there's no substitute for good sleep and exercise.
