Methylone killing the scene in your city?

I dont know if it's the same way all over the place however in Tampa it seem's like the scene is slowly getting worse and worse by the week and i feel it's mostly because of methylone. I remember back a few year's ago it was great going out to a club or warehouse party you never had any trouble/fights it was always a great time. Then came the rise of EDM and people like skrillex who introduced dubstep to the mainstream community. This was all around the same time pressed pills OG poke's especially(they were all over) vanished. Then came methylone and Rapper's using the term molly in every song. Now i guess it's cool to listen to EDM/DUBSTEP and every thug in our city who before would not be caught dead in EDM club's is running around selling Molly!!! it SUCKS when your out on a the dance floor and you need to worry about getting in a fight because you accidentally stepped or bumped into the kid full of face tatt's and gold teeth.

How has the scene become in your city? are your clubs now full of BRO'S and THUGS who no nothing about our scene/community as well.

MDMA really isn't that uncommon. There might be a plethora of bk-MDMA about, but there is also probably kilos upon kilos of MDMA sitting somewhere.
 
Honestly this rise in popularity has done good things. It was bad at first, but I think people have wised up a little bit.

My town has never been so fertile with MDMA, ever.

Get used to it. Edm ain't the first thing they've destroyed in this country certainly won't be the last!!!
 
Yes I just went to some EDM around me and it was a bunch of punk mother fuckers looking for a fight or else everyone was just too doped out, not on MDMA. Maybe the positive vibes will wear off on the homies. I would say get used to it to the whole scene is fucked right now because of RCs anyways we have this spot in town that fits 5,000 for EDM every weekend, little punk fucks are selling rocked up MDPV by the kilo and buying dodge chargers sitting on $100,000.
 
Chose your venue wisely I guess, some of the smaller "club" environments tend to bring in the people on the cultural margin and the crowd looks more like a cross-section of the local population. Larger events with high-profile performers seem to draw in the type of crowds you would usually associate with the "rave scene". The type of music matters as well. A lot of the new dubstep has hip-hop and metal influences that weren't present before, thus bringing in new people.

I think it's mainly because this isn't a marginal, "underground" scene anymore. It is becoming more popular and commercialized and I think this is the cause of the fake/adulterated drugs and different demographics.
 
I live here (Tampa Bay area) as well.. It's not that bad.. It really is not.. Ybor is NOT what it use to be by any means.. but its not hard to find a good time and enjoy your self no matter what the scene is..

As for Methylone (AKA BK-MDMA) I have run across some as of late but I have also found some of the BEST MDMA I have seen since about 1996 or so as well.
 
In the DC/Baltimore area No one knows the difference between Molly and Methylone. It really irritates the hell out of me. A test kit is necessary at all times for any so called molly/mdma/escstacy deal. I just got some crystal "Molly" the other day and I thought damn this shit is gonna be fire and sure enough i tooted a small amount and Ill be damned if wasnt Methylone. Never got close to a peak just the regular methylone feeling (And I know this because I have gone through a shit ton of Bk over the past three years) Personally fuck powder and crystal its just as easy to manipulate as pills--- If I could get them dutch presses I would never look back. Im waiting for the MDMA pill resurgence in the states. Basically every state needs a mint man or poke ball guy Chicago and Cali have all the fun Its fucked up. Maybe one day Maybe....
 
God am I glad we have mints, nothing holds a candle and its the only pill I'd take w/o testing.
 
I don't know. I kind of get what you're saying but I think it's just the local drug gangs have been more involved will MDMA in general. Raves have become gang turfs wars. Sad. Bye bye plur.

I would probably say it's the musical convergence that is causing any demographic changes, versus RCs and whatnot. Skrillex style "brostep" brought the metal and punk crowd a little into electronic music. Also, in the last five years urban music and club dance-house have merged together to the point where a Pitbull track sounds more like a rave tune with rappers than a crunk one.

So yeah, the EDM music market casts a wider net these days, it's more commercial, there's more money involved, and the vibes from the music are often more commercial (meat market, get-fucked-up, or pissed off) than PLUR. You probably have to pay a little more attention to exactly *what* type of electronic music is played to know what to expect. Even in older times people like junglists weren't as into the ecstasy-happy PLUR stuff.
 
I'm in the south-west of the UK, and recently we have a load of methylone going about. Thankfully my dealer is a friend so when I tested his stuff and it turned out to be methylone, he went and sorted it out :) As others have said, its unfortunate that so many people don't know the difference between mdma and methylone, but I've slowly seen people start to wise up and get testing
