Methoxetamine Movies?

had a great time watching 2001: Space Odyssey , because during the space scenes etc, i was in the movie totally OBE kinda thing

Bladerunner was pretty good, just anything with something pretty to look at because where i like to dose i wont understand any plotlines

A introduced a friend to the movie Memento while we were both on Ketamine. I imagine the movie would be pretty could on MXE as well.

"I kinda feel the movie made more sense because it wasn't in the correct order."
Great times indeed.

Talking about Memento, last week I saw it on MXE, but it was a version that was in chronological order, starting with the black and white scenes and finishing with Lenny and Teddy in the warehouse. Freaky.

This is a Godsend. That same night I watched it with my friend, I discussed how'd I'd like to edit it to be in chronological order. I knew someone would have gotten around to it. Very Freaky.

EDIT: That link tweaked my computer. If any of you guys don't have an anti-virus don't click on it, just in case.

there's an easter egg on the DVD that lets you watch it in chronological order. google it.

Whew these threads really do show how much a subjective experience dissociative screen-staring is. Most of these movies sound like a terrible experience to me.

Anyhow. My few recommendations.

1. Mr Nobody. No trailers, no plot summaries. Just get in the state and put on the film. It will be clear in under 2 minutes you will not be turning it off.
2. Spring, Summer, Fall, Winter.... and Spring. -- Very pleasurable watch. Not too much dialogue. Difficult to describe film. Great and interesting film that suited the state very well. Pretty.

3. Haven't done this film in six years or so but ketamine and The Sword in the Stone worked out very well at some point in my past.

If anyone has any recommendations given what I've mentioned, please. I'm sure I have plenty more interesting suggestions stuffed away in my brain and will probably post some more in the near future. I spent a few years searching out novel movie experiences.

i only watch sitcoms and docus or pixar movies. just lighthearted stuff. and that only on the comeup and comedown.
even though i think movies like memento, mulholland drive or lost highway can be quite interesting on low doses.

a few times i watched 24 on low doses. damn was jack bauer a hero. :D

This should be obvious but Fear and Loathing really captures the maniacal mindscape mxe can immerse you in.

The only thing that really worried me was the mxe. There is nothing in the world more helpless and irresponsible and depraved than a man in the depths of an mxe binge, and I knew we'd get into that rotten stuff pretty soon.

Rubber looks like an interesting film. Could be very appropriate if the film is done well. And fear and loathing is such a classic I think most people on this site have watched it on various drugs multiple times over. Well done. I've been meaning to check out the Bill Murray version "Where the Buffalo Roam" but I imagine it can't be nearly as entertaining.

Anyhoo. Tried two films last night. 3-Iron, another Ki-Duk Kim film like Spring Summer etc. Again very little dialogue. Weird little film, but quite enjoyable. Nice charm to it.

Also tried Los Chronocrimenes, a wonderfully done Spanish film somewhat in the vein of Primer. It was tough to follow, being the second movie I watched and also had pushed the dose up a bit higher than is best for comprehension by that point. I also tried to juggle reading subtitles, which makes following a tricky storyline much more difficult (had no such troubles with subtitles in the two Ki-Duk Kim films as dialogue is sparse). You may or may not want to search out the English dubbed "Timecrimes". I haven't tried it dubbed, but in Spanish, wonderful.

Both were fun and appropriate. Off the top of my head for other suggestions -- The 2003 film "Nothing" was a fun little romp where an agoraphobe and his roommate... well hate the world away. Fun and playful and I imagine would go very well with MXE. Theres a scene after the credits I didn't see the first few times I saw the movie, if anyone out there searches it out.

Eh. Good for now. Oh. The 1969 Jim Henson psychological film "The Cube" would probably be quite appropriate as well. Guy is stuck in a cube room with people popping in and out fucking with him. Fun stuff. This link is a website with a description and an embedded video of the RARE COLOR VERSION of the film! I enjoyed it like crazy in the black and white version, and the movie with dull washed out colors might end up being worse. Choose wisely. I also remember there being a couple garbage quality versions and a rarer decent quality one. You may want to search around.

The 'Alien' series ought to be incredible on MXE.

Or if you want to take it to the next level, play Dead Space on MXE.

Perfect Hair Forever was made for dissociatives, or so I concluded while on them watching it. There seem to be many dissociative-trip like refrences, and even look/sound like they are wonkey. Theres a character called Cat Man but this one character says it like 'Ket-Min', like "oh where is Ket-min, bring me Ket-min i need him urgently, oh why do i rely on Ket-min'. I watched it at liest 5 times on K/DXM and it never hardly got boring.....ok so its not a film so watch it back to back

I think those with some major surrealism work well (have for me at least):

Edward Scissorhands
John Waters stuff: Crybaby, Polyester

Bonus pick for the incredible photography, historical interest, and general Kubrick goodness:

Barry Lyndon

Although I'm a big movie nerd, I find it very difficult to immerse myself in films under the influence of MXE. They seem so fake and silly! 8o
