So I have been on subs for 5 months with a couple slip ups .. My last slip up I took ms contin
A couple of days then a dose of 120mg of methodone 36 hours ago..my question that I looked every were for is do you still have to wait 3 days to take a suboxone after only using methodone once?

Yes, it's best to wait until you are in withdrawals before taking suboxone.

Just a heads up, my brother waited 3 days one time, after taking methadone, to get back on subs, and still went into precipitated withdrawal. I know in your case, it was a one time use, but that's a pretty high dose....I'd wait at least 3 days....better to be safe than sorry.

Transdermal fentanyl can be the same way; in terms of, causing precipitated WD even after longer than 72 hours waited out.

See I always thought it was 3 days for people that have been on methodone for long periods because it builds up in your system.. I ended up getting another 100 mgs of of done 36 hours after first time.. Looks like its not suck a good idea to stop subs to do done once in while if im going to be able to jump back on subs for 72 hours
