Was your reagent new? And did you do your test on a suitable background i.e. are you sure you observed a colour change?

I ask because Marquis goes quite yellow if it has polymerized.

yellow is too close a shade to orange (speed) for my likings and the test wouldnt satisfy me.

btw: make sure you're testing only on ceramic or glass

^^tisk-tisk p_d, fresh Marquis, white ceramic surface, fizzed on contact with methylone and turned a clear piss-yellow within 20 seconds, distinctly different from old reagent colour and from orange meth result.

unless its on the colour chart supplied with the kit - i'll be still be sketical could it be something else causing the reaction?
