I've been told that if you mix methanol with the test kit it slows down the reaction time so you can see the colours better.
Does anyone know if this is true?

so adding more would change the solution ratios, and reaction coefficients. I don't know the composition of Marquis, so I couldn't say. But anyone that does, and know the reaction most likely could.

Well, according to the laws of chemistry, there are definate reaction times which are dependent on several factors. Temperature is a big one.
Adding methanol to the marquis reagent will dilute its active compounds. Its a bit complicated but if you dilute 50:50 it should slow the reaction down to take half the time. But Im not promsing. Try diluting a little bit and doing the test with both pure and duiluted Ez test on the same pill. Try not to waste too much MDMA though!

as far as i know, eztest has methanol, but the chem gen e-test doesnt. it appears that methanol slows the reaction down?
for someone who is used to the reactions seen using an eztest, what should i be looking for when using a chem gen tester? what differences should i be allowing for?
=)
