Stimulants Methamphetamine... why?

This substance has become so popular in other areas of the country and I just don't understand how anyone could find such a feeling desirable. What is the attraction to it? Whenever I try uppers all I get is 7 hours of fear, paranoid, jaw clenching, tremors, cardiovascular constriction, and the overwhelming sensation that I could die at any second from a heart attack.

Can anyone explain to me the redeeming qualities of these substances?
 
Also worth mentioning that I have OCD and uppers seem to put even normal people in a state of OCD. So, although I can only assume I get that worse than most, I still don't get how an OCD-like feeling would be something one would want to experience.
 
Ayo this is from someone who was addicted to amps for six years, never tried crystal meth 'cause I always had hookups for Desoxyn-pure methamphetamine HCL pills. Ya amps can definitely cause all of the above, and this tweaker has had all of those at some point. But the redeeming qualities of speed are this-that shit fuckin' shoots the amount of dopamine in your brain up. It gives most people pleasure, and technically through its action of increasing dopamine amounts in the brain's reward system, it should give everyone at least some sense of euphoria. The first time I tried Adderall when I was 13 I was fuckin' geeked and so euphoric, and I abused that for awhile then got into taking Dexedrine, then started shooting Dexedrine, then started popping Desoxyn. I've been down and out, chasing that speed euphoria since I first tried it, and only a few weeks ago did I finally quit 'em. You should be happy you can't get any euphoria from stimulants-they will take away everything, and I didn't stop 'til everything was gone. Fuck amphetamines.
 
Not everyone experiences the negative side effects as intensely as you do. I would guess that the redeeming quality for most users is the euphoric high produced from massive amounts of dopamine being released.
 
If you want experiences, search around because there are plenty. If you want a physiological explanation look into the functioning of the mesolimbic pathway and nucleus accumbens and methamphetamine's effects on dopamine.
