Im interested in purify methamphetamine of both cut and especially fentanyl. Im hoping that someone from this community can tell me if this is possible.

Distillation is a technique primarily used for the separation of liquids based on differences in their boiling points
So distillation of meth and fentanyl separation isnt gonna work. Also, Thermal Decomposition would destroy both before you even got to vaporization (215C for meth higher for Fent)
Only lab grade way to separate em' would be chromatography
Or if meth was in its HCl salt for, and fent in its freebase form (then you could exploit solubility differences of organic solvent layers)

Doable/possible: maybe for a skilled operator, but anytime you’re pulling above 20 inHg at the recovery flask the apparatuses need to be top notch and you gotta know your shit. I’m not sure the juice is worth the squeeze. Problem with fentanyl adulteration is you gotta get it all, The risk is unacceptable. IMO

If thats true how do people vaporize meth and get high? The vaporization temperature obviously does not destroy it. If you have ever smoked meth you know its a liquid for a pretty large temperature range. Even though burning it which i assume is the boiling point doesn't destroy it because you get high when its burnt as well.

I apologize if its difficult to tell to whom im replying. This is my first time on this site and i dont know how to reply to specific comments

If they were mixed together wouldn't they both be in the same form? Typically the salt form seeing as thats the only way ive seen meth

Can you explain how chromatography would do this. I know just the very basics of the process

Vacuum distillation of freebase is performed under different conditions.

Ive been lead to believe that acetone doesn't remove fentanyl

OK I'll edit that, as I don’t think explaining would help.

I dont understand what 20 inHg means. Can you please explain

That’s the measurement of vacuum necessary to lower distillation temp enough to prevent degradation.

Ok thank you for the explanation. But if a person gets high from meth when it has reached the vaporizition temperature and cools from that point on how badly could it have been degraded?

Melting the sold methamphetamine hydrochloride salt happens at a lower temp, around 170c and the liberated vapor is inhaled, low enough that decomp isn’t a problem. Distilling freebase happens at higher temp (if not under vacuum) in the decomposition range, these two forms have different chemical properties.

Youll have to look into Vacuum Liquid Chromatography (VLC) & Centrifugal Chromatography
they use inHG inches of Mercury and Vaccuum pressure

And to answer your lighting meth (freebase vs salt)
Freebase: A lighter's flame (which can reach temperatures of 600∘C to 1000∘C) would easily cause the freebase to vaporize at its 212∘C temp. If exposed directly to the flame for too long or too intensely, it could also burn or degrade.

Hydrochloride Salt: When a lighter is applied directly to methamphetamine HCl, it would reach its melting/decomposition temperature of 170∘C−175∘C much more readily. However, at these temperatures, decomposition becomes a significant factor. Rather than purely vaporizing into an intact methamphetamine gas, a substantial portion would chemically break down or "burn" (oxidize) under the direct flame, producing various byproducts, some of which could be harmful or inactive. It's less about clean vaporization and more about pyrolysis or degradation.

Ya smoke the freebase not the salt: The freebase is a neutral organic liquid/compound that transitions into a gas cleanly near its boiling point of approximately 212°C - Under controlled, moderate heat, it vaporizes intact without breaking down chemically.
The salt, because it is bound by strong ionic forces, the high lighter heat would cause it to melt and simultaneously undergo thermal decomposition rather than clean vaporization.

You would be losing about IMHO 30% loss opposed to vaporizing free base form, salts are for insufflation and consumption (freebases GENERALLY for smoking and storage and carrying around)

Even water vapor in air will start to act upon these HCl salts(so free base form more stable)

Meth is in its salt form when vaporized
smh
the meth when smoked is still the same meth when its in its vaporized form (gas)
the gas molecules of meth, are the tiny lil mofo's floating about in that particular gas state

its all same meth compound just different forms of isomer 3D geometry and different form of matter (liq solid gas) - still number of same atoms
even when it carries ionic charge (ionic state) for solid crystal salt HCl lattices opposed to neutral vaporized form - hence all that heat energy you supply to change its salt form (ionic) to neutral form (vapor) can cause degradation
The freebase doesn't have the high-energy ionic forces holding it together as a solid, so it vaporizes at much lower temp

dextromethamphetamine and levomethamphetamine ARE THE SAME theyre just stereoisomers (which is what we were saying in other post re: THCA-Analog) a lil 3D geometry change make world of difference

D-meth is way stronger than L-meth only because of a 3D spatial orientation change

I agree that with most drugs are smoked in their freebase form, such as dmt and coke. But they aren't water soluble and meth is. With my limited chemistry understanding that would make meth a salt not freebase. Is this not the case?
