Methamphetamine interaction with barbiturates?

As a migraine sufferer, I sometimes dose barbiturates as part of my Fiorinal medication. I found this barb to be friendly and fun, especially with a good glass of scotch, it feels good. I know not to take too much, I understand many people died unwittingly because of this and I have no intention of dying anytime soon.

Tonight Battlefield 3 comes out at midnight and I fully intend on popping a meth pill or 3 so as to stay awake and enjoy my highly anticipated game. However, as I woke up with a migraine this morning, I realize I'll be on barbs when I pop my speed.

So, I need to know if there are any known negative interactions between the two. I have seen this: http://jpet.aspetjournals.org/content/173/1/94.short which kinda says MJ & Barbiturates together will help survive a lethal dose of meth, which I guess is a good thing. Should I infer that just a small dose of barbs with meth should be good to go?

Anyone with experience?

Butalbital (the barb in Fiorinal) is a mild barbiturate, but will probably reduce the potency of your methamphetamine dose and "smooth out" the anxiety and jitters methamphetamine could cause. I imagine it would be similar to taking some hypnotic benzos with your methamphetamine.

No dangerous interactions however. In fact, back in the 1950s and 1960s, amphetamine+barbiturate combination drugs (examples are Dexamyl and Desbutal) were prescribed as antidepressants.

Sounds like they would make a great antidepressant too.

butalbital IMO is a dirty cheap buzz, it feels almost, well damn near the same feeling as being drunk, and the duration doesnt last long at all...i once drank on them, blacked out, friends to,d me i was way wacked out, be careful mixing it with alcohol lol...i assume barbs/benzos are safe with amphetamines.
