Just got an order in today, got double the amount I paid for because of a slight delay.
Unfortunately, contrary to what I had heard, the gear is very average. Snorted a point around 2pm today, should have kept me going for 24 hours, but found myself having another point around 8 this evening.
Don't know the origin of this batch, but I'd probably rather just one point of good shit rather than the 4 points of very average gear that I got.
 
Well, there definitely seems to be some sub-par stuff going around in Adelaide at the moment. My usual source purchased a reasonably large amount, I grabbed about 2.5-3 points off him as soon as he picked up...got home, mixed up a nice taste (about a point)....did the shot, got a biiig cough....thought "oh yeah, this is going to be a big one"....heart sped up....head got a little light...

but then....not really much of anything.

No cascading euphoria, no sexual desire, no beautiful thrilling nausea, just a weird, semi-wired feeling and a strange buzz that seemed to eminate from my chest rather than from my head as is the usual case.

Almost like a crappy low dose of mdma feeling....

Proceeded to charge through the entire amount in 6 hours in my (stupid) attempt to catch a decent rush/buzz, which is RIDICULOUSLY gluttonous for me. At one point I shot at least 1.5 points which would normally have me vomiting and in waves of ecstatic pleasure, but got nothing except a pounding, pounding heart.

I would not rate this as a pleasurable experience. 8 hours after the first shot I was ready to sleep but had a weird residual stimulation. This was on Monday, it's now Thursday and I still feel somewhat "cooked"...very light headed, head spins when I stand up quickly and a slight pain around my heart area. Also very ache-y muscles. I assume some of these symptoms are due to the fact I have barely eaten anything since, my appetite has not really returned since.

So as long as this question doesn't go against the "no substance id" rules....as it WAS sold as methampetamine...does this sound to anyone like meth that is heavy on the levo isomer as opposed to the dextro? Or something else entirely? It looked the goods, although the crystals were perhaps a little cloudier than usual....not that that is anything to really go on.

I am a little bummed as this guy has delivered quality product consistently for over a year now. I hope this isn't the start of a decline.

I'm sure it's no coincidence that this sub-par substance followed 4 days of him being unable to obtain anything through usual sources.

Sigh.

Good thing I have some other less damaging hobbies.

The residual "cooked" feeling and chest pains are slightly worrying though.

I don't IV but smoking is similar to what you mention.

Last three times I've had 1-mystery substance 2-meth 3 -mystery substance

I find I get intense focus but it's more like a sterile wired trance, rather than the blissed out mind glow from proper meth.

I'm non-tolerant to stims so for me it hasn't been bad experiences - just disappointing. I end up way more focused on single things than with the usual...usually I can jump around from one thing to the next, or just sit there and feel good doing nothing. I think the best effect from the ?mystery?substance? is the basic stim properties of keeping you awake and giving you some energy - which is a positive to some and not to others.

Have kept amounts used pretty low - 1- 2 points. Didn't want any more and it kept me up for long enough.

Smoked like decent methamp, tasted a bit funny. Looked good...dry, not much smell. Compared to the good stuff I had which were wet tiny crystals.
 
had similar feelongs from gear around west aus, fucking drug has sucked up all my money like a hoover, so glad im gradually getting out of there, had 3 months hiatus relapsed for a month now back off for 3 weeks and very certain i can kick it now. Quality of ppl are dropping like flies and im actually pondering the future of meth as these cutters become more elaborate and genuine looking. fuck this drug war, i want more than anything to be a law abiding citizen and represent australia with mother fuckin pride. I dont want to associate with scum or even other drug users, i want my drugs dispensed to me with exceptional purity and for me to go about my day progressing in society and doing what i know and love not oggle over drugs and devise where that next bag will come from. The more i experience the less i know, love that quote.
 
'Ice' implicated in crime spike

Latrobe Valley police say the drug 'ice' is partly responsible for an increase in crime across the region.

While thefts of and from motor vehicles have decreased in the Latrobe Valley, drug offences and crimes against the person have increased.

Latrobe Valley police Inspector Mick West says police have noticed an increase in the number of offenders carrying the drug or affected by the drug.

He says ice is having a devastating effects on the community.

"We think we're starting to get a handle on it and then we can [get] an upsurge in this and that's certainly not helping either category of crime," he said.

The Latrobe Community Health Service says ice users are more violent than heroin users.

Twelve per cent of people who access the health service say amphetamines, including ice, are their drug of choice.

The service's executive director of community support, Annmarie Kaiser, says the spike in people using ice is worrying.

"But generally people who used heroin were significantly less angry, violent than we see when people are using ice and it seems that ice is increasingly a factor in a number of assaults and crimes against the person," she said.

Cartoonhead, this is very interesting you bring this up today, given my recent experience. But first, this is what I reported on 27/07/2012:

I have recently seen some decent looking "shard", which tested relatively slowly although still decently to orange with marquis, crushed a little bit too easily for my liking (but still not terrible), and tastes appropriately bitter. An old Simons tester also went a little blue too.

It smokes fine, snaps back as quickly as it should but with a very nice fan like pattern (which I am always suspicious of). Also, after a few recrystallisations it does go a little grey/brown.

So in terms of those observations it is not looking like it is going to be fantastic but it is also nothing completely out of the ordinary either.

The mystery begins with its effects. The mental high is "there" but just doesn't take you to the heights you want to go. Meanwhile, the physical effects are very strong. Raised heart rate, faster than it normally gets with really good gear, and significant vasoconstriction. It is also difficult to sleep on, so something is having a fairly extended effect. What annoys me is that given how the body is going the mental high should be much better than it is but it is not. Normally with less than stellar gear I find the physical effects are just as underwhelming as the mental. With this the physical effects are too pronounced when compared to the corresponding mental to be simply low purity d-methylamphetamine.

Any ideas? I have considered whether I have DL-methylamphetamine and the higher body effects but lower mental is due to half of it being the L enantiomer. I have considered dimethylamphetamine and methylamphetamine in the one mixture, which I know has come up in lab results before. More worryingly, I am wondering whether it might be some meth, some MSM and then some type of research chemical such as MDVP or a-PVP (especially after the cocaine and a-PVP thread) all mixed up and then recrystallised into decent looking crystals. Either way it is not how it should be and I would be interested in people's views. This originated from Melbourne.

As of today in Perth, have come across near identical stuff. Everything looks the goods, significant PNS stimulation but quite poor and scatty CNS stimulation. As per previous occasions, it recrystallises in a rather uniformed formation, especially towards the end, and starts to go slightly brown with repeated melting and recrystallisation. It is either the DL, a whole lot of pure L mixed with D, or it is the case that some of these cuts, such as isopropylbenzylamine, have PNS effects. It is a major issue and it suggests large quantities of it are being imported or prepared here. There is certainly far better going around, which seems more "cut down" but the mental effects are far better. If I had a guess, I would say there is pure crystal L-meth being mixed with the goods in varying amounts.

I think adelaide punches well above its weight in the aus drug scene and seems to have had better criminal links with sydney/nsw than melbourne for decades, through bikie gangs, the marijuana distribution into nsw and beyond and nsw distributing its drugs etc into SA and beyond. The current mdma market in aus reflects this i believe when reading the pillreports from nsw and sa, and these state seem to have a higher amount of higher ratings.

with methamphetamine market, a large majority of the countries 'superlabs' are found in nsw which it would be fair to say it also supplies alot of australias 'ice' market, both the locally produced and the imported. which is good news for us here in nsw, but less so the further it gets from sydney. Getting that 'ice' from adelaide Headdah i would think its quality is most probably better than the previous sydney stuff you get, and better than alot of it here in sydney too.

Split a point with a mate last night, and had bickie too. Hardly ended up feeling the bickie even though others looked pretty monged.

We were given a sizeable amount for a point, but it wasn't particularly good. Made me chatty, more altert, but only slight euphoria. not as good as the last time I had it in March. I did snort it though due to not having a crackie.

But of course, I came home and can't sleep:(. even with two stilnox. Hopefully because I didn't do much and it wasn't strong I should alright today.

Biscuit, I smoked some as well as IV'ing and after a few recrystallisations it did have a yellowy-brownish tinge to it. I also left a small stained amount of brown residue in the pipe which doesn't happen with the good stuff I had been getting up until this point in time.

From your descriptions your experiences sound very, very similar to mine!

Yep, sounds the same as what I've had. Didn't see your previous post but spot on description of effects.

Don't think it's 4mar but it's tempting to guess that. From what I've read on 4mar this stuff doesn't measure up. Might take a look around at some of these RC's...I think I'll send some in for testing eventually, want to solve the mystery. Need to get my reagents out to see if they match your results.

The fan pattern I've noticed too, but have also had OK 'usual' gear that recrystallized in a similar manner (although the best stuff has never done this) The yellow-brown tinge that it develops while smoking isn't unique eithier - but with all these things combined it looks like lots of us are experiencing the same base product or cut.

And the fanned crackback, I noticed also. Quite mesmerising to watch but I cannot say I've ever really noticed it so prominently before.
 
Cartoonhead and Christ: there is no question it is the same stuff and it is a concern because we are all located in completely different places.

When I tested previously the test result was orange, cannot unfortunately test properly now as marquis too old. Mandelin appeared to go a little the right colour but I can never tell the amphetamine reaction with that reagent. L-meth would of course go orange.

The best gear I have seen definitely didn't have a fan style and uniform recrystallisation pattern.

I thought it was a cut at first, because of the brown tinge, and the pattern. But the PNS effects from only a small dose are only consistent with a fairly powerful PNS stimulant. Which is why I thought L-methamphetamine mixed up with D-meth. However, that doesn't explain the pattern.

I have come across this before and it has had differing levels of "goodness" on different occasions, which might suggest it is being mixed with D-meth in varying concentrations, the mix of course determining whether it is ok, very average or complete shite.

The only other option is some RC, which might be the biggest concern of all. No way this is 4-MAR, otherwise everything people have said about it is a crock of shit!
