I need help asap for a person who usually takes a daily dose of 60 mg of methadone for severe pain (severed arm reattached) and had to use more than usual and is down to 30 mg/day with one day of zero before next prescription is given. Is it true that this person will be ok with alternate days on and off methadone for a short period due to the long half life?

Yeah, it depends on 3 things, your dose, your metabolism, and how long you've been taking Methadone for.
