Opioids Methadone with Tramadol safe at all?

Ive been trying to understand the effects of tramadol and methadone when combined togather. At 11am eastern USA time I took 200mgs of tramadol and later today got 10mg of methadone. The plan is to take the methadone tonight yet I read the tramadol and methadone mixture can cause a withdrawal of some sort or other proplems. Is it safe other then CNS and increased seizure risk to take methadone with tramadol? If I mix the two will I go into a withdrawal? Im not addicited to any opiates and just want to enjoy this methadone since its been nearly 7 years since ive ingested methadone any input is appreciated.

IMO the two opiates do not go well together, so you should wait another day to do the methadone.

If it's been 7 years since you've had methadone, please don't take all 10mg at once.

Should I wait 24 hours before I take my Methadone for the tramadol to get out my system?

Yes, it would be a wise choice. And like Tri said, go easy on the methadone, it's one hell of a potent opioid, it takes forever to kick in, and it lasts almost 24 hours.

i would suggest not ttaking both at the same time because both are NMDA-antagonists. not a good combination because they will synergize and increase respiratory depression.

I waited 24 hours since my last dose of tramadol and took the methadone around 21pm eastern USA time think ill be in for a hell of a ride? One other note is the tramadol still going to effect me at all after waiting 24 hours sine my last dose of it?
