methadone to suboxone transition

Went from 60mg methadone to 32mg suboxzone within 24 hours and the withdrawal is 100 and 48 hours later still the same how long till I'm normal thanks

Withdrawal is 100 need help why so bad had over 40mg suboxzone and methadone 48 hours ago. And I'm worse off than yesterday why help plz 8(

if you go from methadone to suboxone you sould wait until you are in full blown withdrawals first and take the minimum amount of suboxone needed

once you exceed a dose of ~16mg of suboxone theres no point in taking more, its not like methadone where taking more will be stronger, you just have to keep taking a dose of e.g. 2-4 mg every 24h and ride out the precip withdrawals until you feel ok again

also hijacking someone elses threead isn't really polite

I agree and if u start suboxin when ur not sick yet it puts u in full w drawl unlike normal withdrawals cone on gradual this causes u to hit full withdrawal instantly and methadone w drawl lasts a long time I have seen about a month

You won' be in full wds for a month! With me I was one of the first in my state to get switched over from methadone to suboxone in 2005 when suboxone was coming on the scene in the states. They had weaned me down to 40 mg of methadone and mad me wait 36 hours after last methadone dose. I was feeling a little ill but once they started me on subs it was much worse.They gave me 4mg of subs and when I reported I was feeling ill they gave me a 2mg bump every hour(guess I was a guinea pig). Needless to say I felt like shit and they continued me on 8mg of subs a day(they were just as ignorant as me) and by the end of the week I felt better. Maybe I'm different body chemistry but that's my experience,though I've never heard of anyone on 32 mgs of suboxone legally(that's massive) I'd check up on docs credentials there has been enough science by now he should have had a better idea on more appropriate time between switch over.

dixi rect in my experience methadone withdrawal although not as intense as h wd it lasts a shitload longer.I couldn't sleep for months and felt ill for at minimum of 6 weeks

I take Subutex which doesn't contain the Naloxone. I have taken both and there a very noticeable difference from straight Buprenorphine and the Suboxone with Naloxone. I also get sevee headaches with Suboxone. You would think with technology where it is today they would have a non-opiate solution to opiate withdrawal symptoms, all we're doing is going g from an addiction to pill that gets you high to an equally addictive pill without any high. Seems somewhat counteractive. I realize the Buprenorphine has a much longer effect in the receptors which helps with craving time frame. But the withdrawal from Buprenorphine is just as bad as any opiate withdrawal, you just have a little more time before the effects kick in.

There's a pill for literally everything buy yet still nothing to detox opiates that have no opiate dependency. They're all addictive. I know the opiate economic impact is huge for the drug companies as well as the dealers. It's hard not to assume that the money is preventing a chemical to alleviate the opiate withdrawal symptoms. Who wouldn't take advantage of a pill that stopped the WDs altogether.
