Opioids Methadone syrup, is it even distributed throughout?

Hey fellow family!

OK few questions I couldn't find; First off is the actual methadone consistent throughout the syrup. Like if you have the red malli 10mg/mL, and you have 120 mg so 12mL, if you were to pour out 6mL would there be 60mg in it forsure. Like all syrups I was guessing the drug was equally suspended thru-out.

Yes just give it a shake and you should be good to go. Over time (like years) the sugar and other additives may crystallize and could cause some differences but even then it shouldn't be that much of a problem.
 
I don't have proof but I am 100% positive that it will be close enough. Of course you won't measure out exactly 6mL, probably like 6.10237mL u know...but it will end up being 60mg +/- say 2 or 3mg. I know that Methadone is a very rigorously tested medication and easy for non opiate tolerant people to OD on, so the syrup consistency is very accruate.

So in conclusion, you may have 59.5mg, or 60.02, but nonetheless you will be close enough to where you wanna be that it won't make a clinical difference.
 
ok thank you, when I have my take homes I find that half the dose in the mourning and half the dose at night works best. so I just got a 1mL syringe and measure out 6mL and put it in a small cup of cranberry juice. Just making sure that I was truly taking half now, half later.

No problem. This dosing method makes sense for you feeling better as well. Despite methadone's long half life it still keeps you at a more consistent level throughout the day by breaking up the administration.
 
yeah, i am thinking about asking my clinic if they would split my dose up. Since they aren't open past 10or 11am I would need a half a take home everyday so I doubt they will go for it.
Some people metabolize drugs faster than others.
