I'm on 50 mg and have been for the past week. Week before was 30 when I started MMT. About an hour after taking my 50, I feel it start to kick in, with a mild but discernible buzz. If my doctor kicks it up to 70 tomorrow, will I feel a stronger buzz at this point? More importantly, will it last a bit longer, because as of now, I start to feel sick again after about 22 hours and become lethargic to the point of not wanting to go drink my next dose. Will this improve it a lot? Help appreciated. Thanks.

Yes, it will get stronger (for a while, until your tolerance gets back up), and maybe. Your blood levels of methadone will go up but you will still have a 'peak and valley' effect where you get buzzed in the morning and the drug wears off at night.

I don't know of a doctor, at least in my country, that would let you go from 50 to 70 in one jump.

Mine had no problem at all putting me up to 70 from 50. In fact, I got the impression he might have gone even higher if I wanted.

It seems to vary from clinic to clinic, from region to region. For example some clinics will hold a person at a low dose if they are failing their drug tests for opiates, but others will increase a persons dosage if they continue to come up positive for opiates since they feel that the persons cravings are not being curbed enough at their current dose, and so a larger dose is given to keep them from seeking a supplemental dose of opiates in order to feel stable.

My clinic EXPECTS me to test positive, and in fact will only up my dose if I do. Their rationale is that it must not be holding you if you need to dose. My doctor even told me straight up that I'd likely need to "chip" until they move me higher. That was when I was at 30 mg.

I know a lot of ppl hate MMT and call methadone liquid handcuffs, but for me, I've been doing this shit for 7 years and just can't be clean longer than a couple months, I only need to walk 3 min to my nearest pharmacy to get my dose, the clinic itself is only a ten min walk as well, and I only need to go if I want to up my dose, I will get take homes, I never travel, I'm comfortable being on it as long as I need to be - anything to stop worrying about terrible withdrawals that make me unemployable, I haven't been able to save money in years, I'm in massive debt and behind on all my bills, etc. etc...
