Methadone, Oxycodone question please.

Hey guys so I have seen this question other places but I know when asking a question involving methadone it's very subjective to the dose the individual is at.

Some back history: I am doing a MMT (methadone maintenance treatment) for my heroin addiction, I've been on it for almost 4 months and right now I'm at 55mgs (of methadone) daily. Thing is I've been on this "low dose," as others have called it, for about a month and a half and I find myself not feeling COMPLETELY well throughout the day.

So my question is: If I took 30mgs of IR oxycodone on top of my methadone would it help at all to keep me normal til I can see the dr and up my dose? Or would it just be a waste?

hey i'm not very experienced with methadone.. but doesn't the clinic piss test you once a week or so? nd if you did do oxy's nd they found out i'm pretty sure you get the boot no?
- i believe if you took the oc you'd get high, i don't see why not.. methadone is just a synthetic opiate and mixing it with oc would cause probably an additive effect.

You may feel it a little bit, you may feel it a lot. It depends on your tolerance level to the methadone. For some people, the "blocking effect" doesn't show up until past what dosage you're at right now (say 70mg or so), but for others it happens below where you are.

I'm not very experienced with methadone either, just wanted to let you know that there's a chance of the oxycodone making a difference...
 
If you're being piss tested there is no point in doing it because you will feel even worse when they take your 'done away from you
 
Its possible the Methadone may block the effects of the Oxycodone at the dose you are at. Some say its more around 60-70mg. When I was on low doses of Methadone like that I wasn't using other opiates so can't tell you for sure. I didn't relapse until I was on like 120mg or maybe more.

It may not be worth it because don't they give piss tests there? And why not just increase your dose of Methadone if it isn't working. Versus taking Oxycodone on top of it.
 
iv been on methadone for a year now and when i was around ur dose i tried banging 16mg of
hydromorphone and felt absolutly nothing, so i think it would be pretty wasteful
but thats jus my opinion
