I know someone who is having to go to the pharmacy everyday for his med and when he goes he spends like 20 mins in the pharmacy and comes out with what seems like something under his tongue and it basically makes him drool for a while after. When he talks it seems like he trying to keep something in his mouth. What do u think it is? I know I should just ask but I don't. He has chronic pain so I thought maybe he got addicted to pills and now on methadone but not sure if would cause the drooling? What could he be taking at the pharmacy?

Is the pharmacy in the USA? Because if it is he is probably going to the methadone clinic to get jis daily dose. He May be trying to do spit-backs and then sell iy, gross but mryhadone is one of my favorite opiod. It sucjed having to drive to the clinic. Kept mr off yhr needle and saved my life. I was on 180mg a day and then I started to play with benxos because a little alpeacolam gord long way on 180mg of methadone. I liked it because it has a long half-life, you can function wiyhout your brain telling you to go grt opiates. It was a miracle that I got in the car one night after taking about 6mgs of alprazolam and thought becaue I took an Adderall at 7 am I'd be fine. Accident, DUI along with 3 broken vertebrae and smashed ribs, then I went to jail for 4 months for multiple DUI's(all from methadone and benzo mix). For 4 1/2 years that shit worked, the last 6 months were fucking insanely bad. But it got me off methadone, I still like benzos. Also TELL HIM METHADONE WILL KILL SOMEONE ECEN WITH A VERY HIGH OPIATE TOLERANCE. I KNOW 5 PEOPLE WHO DIES FROM NUYING NOTTLES OF 120MG, 90MG AND 150MG, because they thought they were gonna be able it. It takes a little time to kick in, but someone w a big heroin or pill habit would die on 200mg of methadone.

Or it could be suboxone, but they don't make you come every day to get it, its usually given out 2 weeks to a month at a time. They have a place in New Haven, CT that does that for some program.

Suboxone? That's my guess. I've heard of people putting methadone pills under their tongue, but its not standard practice. With suboxone, the pills are made to be placed under the tongue. It could have nothing to do with opiates at all, and that's why you should ask him. Pref after his pill has dissolved entirely so you don't have to make him swallow to talk. Unless that'd be in poor taste. Idk the entire situation.

Strange though because while I've never been on suboxone or methadone, I know take homes are more common with suboxone than with methadone. Unless its a free service or something? Then I could see why he'd have to walk in for his meds maybe.

But would methadone or suboxone cause drooling or excessive saliva for at least 30 minutes after taking it? Or does it take that long to dissolve? It's a pharmacy in Canada.... Pretty standard to make ppl go in daily if they have a history of addiction.

He's probably trying to avoid swallowing as frequently a you do normally because suboxone is absorbed much better under the tongue than when taken as a pill. 30minutes is not an unheard of amount of time for a suboxone to completely melt away I don't reckon.

Closed as all anyone can offer is pure speculation. Feel free to PM any questions.
