I just got two 10mg methadone p's from my buddy and a couple norco 10/325 i was wondering whats the biggest difference between the two and is it safe to combine recreationally(knowing your limits obviously)?

Well from what I've read Methadone isn't the most euphoric opioid around but I'm fairly sure you could combine it with Hydrocodone to change that, after reading a few reports on erowid I saw a few Oxycodone + Methadone and Heroin + Methadone reports that went well. I'd do some more research on mixing Methadone and Hydrocodone before you take any risks because I'm not very familiar with Methadone.

Basics: Methadone IS very euphoric. It's extremely potent and lasts a long ass time (I'm talking 'you'll feel it all day long'). It takes a couple hours to kick in - so if you take it, you'll probably think you need more. Do NOT redose. Wait at least a couple hours. I'd say do not mess w/ methadone. It's great as a maintenance drug but dangerous for those who want to abuse it.
Take the hydrocodone. Do not combine the two. It's generally NOT a safe/wise idea to take other opiates (or benzos, unless you have a prescription for both from the same doctor). Like I said - SEARCH for the methadone megathread. Then browse posts with keyword methadone.

yeah, I'm with woamotive about taking the norco's. If you take the methadone on day one, and on day two take the hydro, you won't feel it probably, because methadone is so strong in comparison. However, I do not agree that methadone is very euphoric. It does produce euphoria, but with regular use, it goes away, and in general, IMO, hydro has a nicer high.

^For those who don't use methadone,it is really euphoric imo.70-80 mg's has me feelin higher then most opiates I take.

yeah, no I see what you mean, but I always found that I needed at least 70-80 mg to get a buzz. I can't imagine taking under 20 mg and feeling it.

I remember YEARS ago taking methadone recreationally (my friend told me it was OC - and I didn't know...) and 10mg got me ripped. Methadone for people who don't use opiates can be QUITE the ride at low doses.

yep methadone with little to no tolerance ime is as euphoric as iv heroin but obviously without the rush. i used to take 100mg though(dont try this). didnt mix it with ANYTHING, which is why i didnt die.(luckily?). saying all this , most street heroin is fairly low grade and methadone is allways the same strength with no adultrents.
