Methadone, meth, roxies, benzos- I can't get high on ANYTHING.

Hey, so, I'm new here and I've read a lot on this site about how long it takes to get high from opiates again after being on opiates, but nothing exactly answers my question.



I know someone who was on 100mg of methadone daily for a year. She fucked up and started getting high on other things and got kicked out of the methadone program. Left to withdrawal at 100mg. This led her to start taking liquid hydrocdone, knowing she wouldn't get high, just for the withdrawal. Then she started taking benzos when she ran out, and using meth for about a week two. She now seemingly can't get high on ANYthing. She could take benzo after benzo, smoke meth for hours and do hot rails, and nothing. I know methadone only "blocks" opiates, so I don't understand why. That's one question, because she know she didn't build a tolerance like that to those things over 2 weeks.

My more important question is when will she be able to feel opiates again after taking 100mg for a year, how long until she can feel them again? I heard some people never get to feel them again after taking methadone for a while.

Well its gonna a take minutue, and we also know this is you not someone you now. You seem really sad your friend can't get high,lol. And your going to need something a lot stronger than freakin' Hydrocodone...I don't understand the Meth thing though, that should be gettin you high. Knew a lady on 200mg(well 100 she sold half) but she can feel her roxis now, shes been off for a couple years though...but definiety track down something stronger than damn hydrocodone, just sayin, and maybe your just getting shitty meth. And benzo's are not really known for giving you a high, just relax you if you suffer from anxiety and they synergise with other drugs...

Tiny, there's really nothing you can do to beat methadone withdrawal other than to bide your time. If you try to intercept the withdrawal with other opiate/oids, you will only be prolonging your pain and further reinforcing your psychological addiction a la "The only time I feel human - free from sickness - is when I use". Trust me, you do not want a dope habit large enough to override your methadone sickness. Rely on drugs/substances which are not cross-tolerant with methadone. Gabapentin, Pregabalin, Benzodiazepines (if you feel relatively stable), Clonidine, Cannabis, Sleep Aids, etc.

As far as time frame, I can help you out a little bit there. I've been off of 120mg MMT for about a month and a half now. It was about two weeks of sustained emesis and bone-breaking akathisia, not to mention the intense suicidal ideation. The first two weeks are easy in their own way though. The part about methadone withdrawal that really breaks you is the duration, not the intensity.

It took me about a month before any commercial or street opioid could even take away my sickness and even at that time, it was 8 bags from Holyoke, MA. Got a short rush, some pruritus and then unsick for about 4 hours. From where I'm standing, I'd say it's going to be at least 3 months before you can enter into another honeymoon phase with opioids of any kind. Everyone is different though. You just have to make your mantra that their is an end to what you're going through. It's not permanent, however long it last.

I actually meant liqiud morphine. Everyone else around me was hella spun out lol
