Opioids Methadone Mega Thread and FAQ

So today I did some Buprenorphine for the first time in a week. 1mg in the nose so far and the effect is good. However, the last four days I have been doing Methadone. 25mg on the first of these four days and 15mg on the other three. Obviously I still have some Methadone in my system. Do you think this could be dangerous?

EDIT: I'm just a recreational user of opioids and not physically dependent, etc. Mostly use 1-2 times/week but sometimes do 1-3 weeks of constant use.

I hope this is true cause the effects I got from 15 to 25mg were MINIMAL, but still I was scared to increase my doses even tho I did not feel a thing.

Wow you traded a baby, midget spider monkey for motherfuckin' King Kong brother ;). I'm surprised they even gave you methadone to kick a codeine "habit" (if you can even call it that). How much were you dosing a day and how frequently if you don't mind me asking? And why, why, why now CWE? It's so easy, if you ever fall of the wagon (knock on wood ;)) please CWE, your body will love you for it. How long did you abuse codeine/apap preps with no CWE? And at what type of daily APAP doses were you taking? Probably 4000mg+ everyday if you had any kind of codeine habit at all... Sorry for all the questions, don't mean to put you on the spot just curious my man.

yeah I was kind of wondering the same thing. Not to minimize your addiction at all, but methadone, AND buprenorphine are much stronger than codeine. It seems kind of fucked up that they would do that to you. Then again, a lot of people get on methadone with smaller habits, and end up on over 100 mgs.

Bollweevil, it's strange that you say that about the sweet tooth. Not that I don't believe you, it's just weird because opiates always completely killed my appetite. The last week of opana abuse, and I think I've lost at least 2 pounds!

man thats the amazing thing I didnt expect. I am actually interested in going out and doing things. Things i liked to do before I started getting high. Like fishing and baseball games etc oh and GIRLS~!!!!! =D
 
I'm back on at 70mg. Keeps me out of W/D 24/7 but I want to come off it again now.

It's depressing that after so many attempts of becoming opiate free, I'm right back where I started except at 3X the dose.

Looks like I may be able to go to The Priory paid for by insurance though.

Anyone got any experience of going to rehab and coming off methadone in 28 days?
 
methadose wafer question

I have a oxycodone habit. I have been taking around 180 mgs for several days now. before that I have jumped up and down from 60mgs/day to 200 mgs/day.

So my question is this. I just got 2 40 mg methadose wafers. What would be the best way IYO to split them up over the next 4 days to help with withdrawals? Will they be enough? Should I get another? I would really like to try doing this with just 2 if possible. Any advice and opinions are very appreciated. TIA

there is no way someone can OD off 1mg of methadone. that guy was an idiot. he either measured wrong or did a major typo on his computer. either way i feel bad for the patients getting dosed with his mixed of methadone cause it was all probably wrong.

best way tocome down off methadone is the 1mg a day detox. so if youre on 70mg,it should take you 70 days to detox. this is the most comfortable way to detox methadone by popular vote

good thing about damaging your liver is that it will regenorate and heal itself anyway unlike other vital organs. so no need to worry about that as long as you stopped taking that codien give yourliver a chance to heal
 
Does anyone know what probation people do if you tell them your on methadone? Like can you just tell them your on methadone w/o telling them you relapsed?
 
I did it. Was on 70ml and about .6 - 1.7g of gear a day. Got given 70ml first day then 50ml next day then 30ml 3rd then went cold turkey... Horrific withdrawals, lasted 3 weeks then started to tail off. Now 26 days clean..

Fuck me what was I doing all those years I should have done this a long time ago!
 
It also took me 3 1/2 weeks to detox. I didn't sleep for that time either... I have detoxed before off of Methadone, but this time was allot worse... Now, I'm 4 1/2 months clean..

I dunno...BOTH clinics I have been to do NOT test for THC. Everyon fucking smokes weed on the program.

I have my takehomes and have passed every test I have had.. I specifically asked about their policy for weed at the 1st clinic, and they said they were really just lookin for the more illicit drugs (thats the way he put it).

Well done mate! I'm 39 days now and I'm finally sleeping OK, took me 5 weeks till I started sleeping properly. 12 days 100% awake. God it was horrible. Still very lethargic and achey, but getting better.

For people thinking about going on methadone, think carefully about your intentions. If it is to get off heroin, don't go on it!! If it's for maintenence then OK, but be very very careful. I honestly think me going on MMT 3 years ago was one of the biggest mistakes I ever made.
 
methadone is a horrible drug. i know of a kid who is a vegetable now because he ODd on methadone. nobody should take methadone unless instructed by a clinic and have severe opiate dependance. i've taken methadone for 'fun' and trust me, it was anything but.
 
hey guys I had a question. I have no opiate tolerance and I took like 10 mg or less of the oral liquid. Its been like 2-3 hours, will I get more messed up then this? Im starting to feel a little dizzy and i wanna make sure i will be ok. It was hard to tell how much i took cause it was liquid but I definitely didnt take more than 10 mg cause i had 20 or so all together and barely drank half. IM a very cautious person. Im also withdrawing from benzos so It snot chilling me out that much. Im hesitant to take anymore even though i dont feel any euphoria.
 
I dun get why people say methadone has no euphoria... Yeah it doesnt compare to Heroin, but its deff there. It makes me nod everytime unlike H does, and it lasts longer. Its ok in my book, and beats oxys 30 minute high...

Im suprised the guy above me dune planet isnt getting high off 10mg with 0 tolerance. I took 15mg oxy 8 mg dilaudid and 10mg methadone yesterday alone, and i only took 50 mg morhpine and 10 mg of done and Im nodding already. Snorted both btw. Im not dick sizing here, just confused why this guy isnt high.
 
Hi, I'm on MMT, currently taking 10 to 15mg every day. If I wanted to take some morphine, how much would do the trick, plugged or parachuted?
I'm thinking on taking a 100mg capsule crushed and plugged, would 200mg be too much? Thanks.
