Methadone life

If one were to use 10 to 20mg per day of oral Methadone for several
weeks, how long would it take to completely clear from
the body?
The reason I ask this is because I read that
methadone stores up in the body after repeated
use. The only info. I have been able to obtain
on the web is 2 days, to one week.

Thats very individual. Keep your urine acidic with salmiak etc and it will go much faster. If you eat bicarbonate it will stay longer as the ph in your piss will rise.

when i use to use it i had piss tests and it took 4 days to clear. you realise using this for this length of time will cause some withdrawal as it lasts 4 times longer than H.

it will not show up as opiates. they have to test specificly for methadone. i have been on it for 2 years now. i dont knwo if it builds up. i dont think so. it has a half life of 24 hours though.

You guessed right if you assumed I am worried that
it will show up on a drug test (probation)
Are you SURE it does not show up as an opiate? Elaborate on this if you can.How can it bind to
receptors as well as it does and not show up as
an opiate?

"Methadone does not show up in a basic opiate test which is part of the standard pre-employment drug test and which can detect heroin, codeine and morphine (and perhaps oxycodone, hydrocodone, and dilaudid). A Methadone specific test must be performed to detect Methadone. This test is not uncommon and is part of the second tier "extended" test done by many companies."
