Methadone Lethal Dose

Does anybody know the lethal dose of methadone? This guy that parties with my friends was found dead in this crashpad we chill at apparently he ODed on methadone, he thought he can take a shot of methadone like it was nothing, thats what happens when people don't know what the fuck they're doing. Anyway, that made me want to look it up I found reports of people dying from around 60mg. I used to take like 80mg for heroin withdrawls I didn't even feel euphoria or anything.

There is no definite lethal dose for methadone for all persons, as it varies with the person's history
of drug use, liver and kidney function, age, height and weight, other medications taken etc. Generally in a non-tolerant person who does not use Methadone or any other opioid regularly, a dose of 50 to 100 mg can be lethal. In a tolerant person, a dose of 300 mg plus can be life threatening.

I know someone that has like 3 or 4 full bottles of 10 MG Methadone. They are 43, 220 lbs, doesn't take Methadone very often but they want to know how much methadone would kill them.. They are not suicidal but want to make sure they dont take to much... Any ideas?

You have seen from the answers above that there is no definative dose. We don't know your friends medical history or their history of opiate use. Just telling us their age and weight is far from enough to work out a safe dosage.
