methadone is now enjoyable?

long story short. in 2004 i became addicted to iv dilaudid and oxycodone. i was on the drugs for two years and then i was forced to rehabilitate by the military. i was putt on methadone starting at 100mg and then stepped down to 10mg where i made my first jump. w/d from done was the worst i've ever felt. during this time i never felt that methadone was enjoyable. skip 6 years later. being back on oxy at 300mg a day, due to financial reasons i have been unable to acquire my oxy. so a friend has take home methadone i have been acquiring. first day i took 120mg and felt a nice buzz which was strange. for the past week ive been taking up to 200mg and honestly it feels so much more relieving than an oxy dose has in years. any one else experience this? i guess i'm just burned out on oxycodone?
 
I am on MMT currently, but always liked methadone, more so than oxycodone. Oxy was fun back in the day, but i much prefer the sedating opiates/opioids such as heroin, morphine, dilaudid.. Once I developed a tolerance and discovered other opiates, oxy only kept me happy for liike 40 minutes, no joke. Methadone is along the same lines(as morphine etc),in it gives a nice sedation, and STILL i can achieve a nice glow/euphoria from it even after a year + of MMT. I love it because it has that faint reminder of my heroin days, minus all the bullshit associated with it.

The biggest factor as to why i enjoy it so much also is the duration. Nothing beats dosing once a day and being satisfied.
 
ya methadone last soo much lkonger han oc, and i iv oc so it literly only keeps me good for an hour, latly i have been dosing on methadone and it brings a nice pleasent euphoric high, and is a fuck lot cheaper than oc
 
That is WAY too much for one. It won't kill you if your tolerance is high but it will be hell trying to come off of it.


But yes, it will be enjoyable for a short period until your body adjusts to it. However it will fade pretty quick and then it will be annoying b/c you will always think you could get that high again if you just took a little more......that won't work however and it could lead you to OD or raise your tolerance even higher....

If you don't want that living hell of a withdrawl again you need to make sure not to take it for more than a few days or you will be hooked again......

Then you will not be able to get anything out of the OXY either.......The cross tolerance created by anything over 60-70mg is INSANE. People have tried shooting bundles of heroin and not been able to get a buzz at all....

Good point. I take 75mg daily, and I do achieve a nice glow and shit from it, even almost 2 years later, but forget about trying to get high on oxy. Even heroin barely puts a dent in it, even after taking 3 days off from the methadone. I can double my dose no problem, not that it is recommended and it barely increases the effects. Certainly makes for a solid sleep though :)
