Opioids Methadone in different countries

So i was reading up on methadone and i came upon an article that said that in the US and some European countries the methadone we use is less effective as used in Australia, UK and other countries. (Don't Quote Exactly) because the methadone they make hits the U1 receptors much more effectively. and the US (Mainly) uses methadone that doesn't hit it as effectively and hits another receptor partially hence partial agonist antagonist. (Not Suboxone) Now methadone is methadone i know that but the article said (And this is really dumb down cause i couldn't find it again so i could be wrong on some of my info) the way that we make it in the US is different than the way they make it in in then UK. I used those cause there too major countries. Try reading wikipedia it says it somewhere in there i believe i just don't want to waste an hour trying to find a needle in a hay stack. Anyone know what im trying to say i know it sounds stupid but if you saw the article then you would understand completely. BTW wikipedia may not be true due to that it is free to write in so that is why i am writing this. i think it would be a cool challenge for anyone to try and find and understand the pharmacology behind these two different so called "forms" of methadone.

Usually the only form available in most countries (ie USA) is the racemic form, but on wiki it says there's the laevorotary salt form in which the opioid agonist potency is x2 in comparison to the racemic form.

Yeah, I always here old Heroin addicts remarking about how during the 70's the methadone wafers they had were the "best high out there", and that it was much different to what's given out in clinics.

In germany the clinics prescribe besides methadone quite commonly also polamidon (which is levo-methadone). It has suposedly less side effects and is twice as strong on a mg basis. I have taken a lot of both and 5mg l-methadone = 10mg racemic methadone, i didnt feel any difference in taking both. Dextro-methadone is probably inactive at these dosage levels or has drastically lower potency. I prefered liquid polamidon because they handed it out in 5mg/ml with only a tiny bit parabene (preserving agent), in my opinion perfectly save for injection.

Alot of people inject their methadone takeaways in Australia....they must get some sort of pure methadone. I get fucking tropical cordial poured into mine! ANd if you complain about the taste or say you dont like it they will fill your bottles with water to make IV useless...But somewhere,some people do get the pure methadone by getting their takeaways in pure form...as i know many people who inject it...When i knew them (the people that injected it) i had no interest in methadone as i had several drs supporting my oxy habit and very rarely went into W.Ds, so i didnt think to ask them where,how they got the injectable methadone in Australia...

I knew someone who claimed that at a clinic in Massachusetts, they gave out pure methadone and just diluted it lightly with water. The patients would just evaporate the solution and inject it..I've heard such varied things regarding IV 'done. Some say it's pointless, others say it gives a great rush.
