Opioids Methadone: How long does it take to stop blocking other opiates?

Hi, there have been many similar threads made on this topic but none that suit my specific needs or have any direct answers... so I have made a new thread.

About a week ago I took 100 mg of methadone throughout the span of one day. I do not take methadone regularly nor do I go to the clinic. I probably hadn't taken it in years before that day. I do, however, regularly take other opiates... whatever is available.

I have taken other opiates each day since the day that I took all of that methadone. Quantities and types have varied, but each day has been pretty large amounts. For example, yesterday I took 5 morphine 30s (7 days after the methadone) and didn't feel a thing. Today I did enough heroin to DEFINITELY be enough to get me high typically. I felt nothing. The same has been true for each of the other days.

My question is how long will it take before the methadone stops blocking the euphoria of other opiates? :?

It's not. You're simply underestimating you're tolerance.

Even with acute dosing, 100mg of methadone is A LOT. It's equal to 300-400mg oral morphine. So 150mg of morphine wouldn't do shit.

The dose of H was probably just less than you thought, H is of wildly inconsistent potency.

But in any case, methadone doesn't really block other opioids; however with chronic use it jacks you're tolerance to sla point that obtaining euphoria from other opioids is all but impossible. But a single dose won't even do that, though it will help to jack you're tolerance to an unmanageable level. Also, the half-life of methadone averages 24-30 hours.

So please. Understand, that single dose of methadone is not at all affecting you 8 days later. I think you should seriously consider taking a few days to lower your tolerance, otherwise, good luck getting high.

There's no way a dose is still affecting you but I have experienced blocking I'm guessing from it binding to receptors but that lasted 3 days tops at 120 mg liquid.
