Hi everyone i just joined today!:D Well before I start ill give some background, Ive used opiates before but for short periods of time and usually far between. For example id get some 5mg oxys and 15-20 mg would be a nice dose (this with zero tolerance). Ive also taken codein around the 150-200mg range with little to no tolerance and had a moderate high. The only other opiate ive had is poppy tea(4-8 pods) but thats hard to know how much morphine etc is in there. So for my question... Ive done some research on bluelight and elswhere on what an appropriate dose for methadone would be in someone without tolerance...the general info is between 5-15mg someone correct me if im wrong? My real dilemma here is that im getting 150mg of pure methadone hcl not in pill form and i dont have an accurate scale for measureing single digit mg. I thought of dividing the 150mg by eye into 25 equal piles....that would work out to 6mg per pile. If anybody has a better method let me know because im still a little worried about the eyeing out thing. Thanks!

Don't eyeball it! It would be very hard to get 25 equal portions, and methadone can be really dangerous if you misjudge the dose, especially if you are opioid naive.
You need to either get yourself some milligram scales, find some to borrow, or dissolve it in a known volume of water and use liquid dosing.

In my experience with methadone, even when I had very little tolerance, I would have to take a lot more of it to get high, than I would to just hold myself. No one can say for sure what dose will get you high and not kill you, but I would start out at about 5mg, and no higher than 10mg. Make sure to wait 3 hours before you decide to take more if you feel the need to. Methadone has a pretty slow come-up

^ This is good advice! Be careful too - methadone isn't really recreational in the same way other opioids are, for most people anyway, so it can be easy to take too much trying to catch a buzz and end up overdoing it. It has a really long half-life too so it lasts for ages - be very careful and don't take any other downers that day even if you don't feel like you are very opiated..

In terms of onset - it usually takes me 60-75 minutes to notice methadone. Z- is right advising to wait ~3+ hours before re-dosing, and even then I'd probably just suggest to wait until the next day.
Methadone is better for subtle pain management and addiction maintenance. I'd look elsewhere for opiate euphoria, personally.

Thanks for the advice everyone! I thought of mixing it with water to get an accurate dose.....but i read that methadone starts to degrade in water after 24hrs unless you can get it into a sterilized ampoule/vial. Im not 100% sure how accurate this info is but if its wrong and methadone can be stored in water please let me know this method would be the easiest and safest.
^ I'm pretty sure that it will be fine in water. As for the degradation you may be mistaken with heroin which degrades into morphine after it is in water for a certain amount of time. I'm not sure what clinics use to prepare their liquid doses, but they give take-homes for sometimes up to two weeks or more, so I don't think you need to worry. Also, since you have no tolerance, slight degradation won't really effect your experience.
Even with figuring out a way to dose properly, I would still advise against you using methadone due to your low tolerance. It is a very heavy opiate, lasts a very long time, is very dangerous when mixed with other CNS depressants (alcohol, benzos, etc), while being ranked pretty low by most opiate users, in terms of euphoria.
Another dilemma that I see is if you know exactly what you are getting. I haven't really heard of a powder form of methadone, as it is usually in pill form, liquid form, or "diskets" which are pills the quickly dissolve in water. If you are buying methadone powder from anywhere other than a legitimate pharmacy, then there is really no way of knowing if the powder is in fact 150mg of methadone, aside from having it tested at a lab. You can't trust street dealers, online vendors, clinic patients, or any other sources like those, especially when dealing with a drug as powerful as methadone. A slight miscalculation on either their end or your end, and it may be the end.

Great advice above guys ^^ be careful with that stuff with zero tolerance dude, you could easily overdo it and not even realise until it is too late - Also try have someone around you when you take some, for precautionary sake.
im starting to get the creeps in a good way about this dosage thing...good for you guys on bl or I wouldve probably just went ahead and eyeballed it8) the reason i got it is because i tend to enjoy subtle long-lasting opiates over short "rush". i like poppy tea alot more than oxy becaue the effects arent so in your head and last longer. I got it beacuse its really cheap I wont go into details but its from a pharm co. that makes the pills/stocks clinics it comes in a small pack that has a hologram seal...im pretty sure the dosage is good but for safetys sake im gonna wait and get a good mg scale before anything. maybe ill five it to someone who needs it more getting high is deffinately not worth risking OD/death
