Methadone fertile for male and female or not?

I am not using any form of birth control and am currently on methadone as well as my husband. Does methadone make males and females less fertile as I have been told? Is the chance of getting pregnant low? Has anyone ever known anyone or ever gotten preg themselves being on methadone as well as their mate? Please inform me as I have done searching and haven't come across anyone who has that has been in a relationship where both ppl were on methadone.

Don't ever, ever, ever, never count on being rendered "infertile" if it would be problematic to get pregnant regardless. I know people who have successfully undergone tubal ligation with five children that now have another on the way because of the circumstances life offers despite that the procedure was done in the financial best interests of the couple, paid for by the couple as well as the woman involved having uterine cancer that will go unresolved because she now has chosen to await the arrival of their sixth child before approaching it. :/ Get condoms or get pills and condoms or shots and condoms or.... Do what needs doing, either way if you cannot be getting pregnant right now. I hate being so blunt, but ultimately, you can't count on that.

If you're trying to get pregnant (?) then by all means, try. I would advise against it (exposure of a fetus to methadone cannot be a good thing, nor on-the-fly elimination of your addiction recovery support?) but.......
