methadone dose

Its been months since I took any of the 10mg methadones. And lately I have only been taking one 60mg MScontin a day with the occasional 30mg oxycodone. But most just the one MScontin per day. I generally have a decent tolerance to opiates but I've lowered it somewhat. My question is. How many 10mg methadone waffer should I take to feel really good. Based on what I told you of my dosing forbthe last few months. Should one or two, which would be 20mg all together be sufficient to get me nice and high?
 
If you are only taking 30mg of oxycodone occasionally to get then approximately 15mg of methadone should have you happy.

I'm moving this to BDD as it's a basic dosing question.
 
I imagine 20mg would do the trick. Are you taking the morphine orally, or are you shooting it? That could make a difference.

I've always found the methadone high to be rather subtle compared to more short acting drugs. With little tolerance I'd be able to feel a noticeable mood lift from 15 mg, but it would often take a lot more to get me nodding out high, and by that point it always seemed like the dosage I was taking would be too dangerous.

Always start out low though, especially with a drug like methadone which has such a long half life, and takes a while to hit you.
 
i have shot Moph, but not recently. I did IV a 30mg oxycodone last nite tho. But I am thinking that since I never take more the like 60mg of morphine orally usually that a 20mg dose of methadone should get me feeling good. RIGHT ? lol
 
I wouldn't go any higher than that, certainly. Remember too that methadone has a really long half life; redosing can be dangerous, and don't mix it with other CNS depressants :)
 
I am aware of the half life, thanks for hte heads up. I've just been having a shitty week, and want a nice day of opiate relaxation, and this is all i got, and from what i remember from teh las time i took 2 or 3 of the 10mg ones, i felt great for hours ! and i would like to feel that again, just for today
 
You've had methadone before I think? It can take longer than that to kick in - it can be several hours at least before you get peak effects.. Definitely don't take any more or any other CNS depressants given that your tolerance isn't very high at the moment. Other than that, if methadone gets you high then yes you should be high once it has kicked in.
 
It is, I thought you were going to go with 20mgs BSS? I didn't read your last post properly.. 30mgs methadone is equivalent to at least 90mgs morphine, up to 180mgs according to the conversion chart on BL (and I'd go with it being more than 90mgs..)

I would take (1) 10mg and wait to see if that works, if not then take one more. I wouldn't exceed that. Though, I've taken one 10mg before, my first time taking Methadone and didn't feel a thing. Guess I got rid of withdrawl symptoms, felt better, but didn't feel high like i wanted. We are always searching for that high when I suppose we should just be happy we feel better, huh
 
I'm going of the brown sugar, yeah babe, make me feel so good, in a while, and have always used Subutex to get over the first few days,
but seems a bit silly to save it if I can get a new, untested high out of it....

So for one who smokes/snorts .5-1g h, 1g speed orally and joints from morning to morning...does anyone have any advice what not to have taken
in the hours before or whatnot?! That darn bottlecap is tricky though.... :-)
