A very warm welcome to BL Lisa
Congradulations..
CONGRATULATIONS!! I think i will always have a special place in my heart for people who have kicked methadone
I'm not very good a tapering.. well i was very good at tapering
off a taper.. but utterly defunct at tapering. So i just jumped a large dose of methadone. I was in acutes for almost two months, though i jumped benzos at the same time.
The distinction between PAWS and acutes was not as defined for me as i see in many people. Fatigue was the longest lasting physical symptom.. and there was this patch of sun burn goosebump frozen skin that sailed a drunken course over my body for months. The wacked emotional response was also very long lasting.
I slipped out of the final tunnel just before six months.. the opiate receptors retracted and the neurochemistry returned to baseline. My brain function went from a half dead four cylinder jalopy, to a solid six cylinder overnight.. well in a week and went well above that in the next six months. Its crazy because I was kinda happy with the four cylinder after so many years running on wacked out chipmunks.
This timeframe varies for people.. but as you are throwing down with the exercise and so much else your stay will be much shorter than if you were not doing these powerful activities.
Here is some great information on PAWS.. what we experience varies quite a bit, but this gives a solid sun down of possibilities.

If your in a position to have your vitamine D levels checked I would consider this if not I would add on the max vitamine d recomended untill your out of the PAWS. I would consider seeing an endocrinologist and having your hormone levels checked.
I would also highly recommend adding in puzzles, something like lumosity. I would also recommend taking up something that requires you to learn and practice movements.. dancing lessons and yoga would be what I would choose.. well dancing lessions if skiing or snowboarding are not an option.
Your doing GREAT!! it get better i promise... ups and downs for a while well the system heals and steadies itself

Well it’s always so much better than it ever was
It seems like all the good things come at once, yes they do
Just when you think it can’t get no better then it does"

Nice work.. keep rolling as your going to like where you end up
