Hi, quick question about the blockading effects of methadone.

I am currently taking anywhere from 40-80mg of methadone a day depending on how my pain is feeling for that day and I have recently run out a few days early and is somewhat worried about withdrawals. My question is about how long he must wait until other opioid medications like oxycontin will have an affect on him allowing him to feel better and not get so sick.

I have already waited 24 hours and plans to wait another 24 atleast before trying to see of the oxycontin will work without being a complete waste.

Thanks a ton, Peace and love..

First off we don't SWIM here. second, depending on the opiate it might go right through methadone... though methadone is a strong opiate indeed it won't block opiates or produce precipitated withdrawals like bupe (IIRC).

24 hours is a good period of time to wait. Wait until you feel withdrawals for best effects.

this^

and methadone and oxy is one of my favorite combos. methadone alone isn't that euphoric for me, so i usually add some oxy to give it a boost
