Benzos Methadone + Benzos?

whenever i take benzos ontop of my daily dose of 110mg methadone i don't notice any difference in fact it almost seems like i barely feel them at all. Not trying to brag or anything but last nite i took 18 2mg xanax and wasn't even wrecked + some 30mg temazepams as well. I was high, but not to to the point where i would like to be. I was wondering if i should lower my dose or just take a break from the benzos for a while what do you guys think?

It seems to me that you probably have an extreme tolerance to benzodiazepines. I'd just forget combining the two. The combination isn't safe, and if it isn't that good for you, why bother increasing dosages if it still isn't working well?

I agree with CH here, your tolerance is through the roof and taking a break of some sort is probably in your best interest.

You can't keep increasing the dosages forever, it's important to remember that I think.

I don't know what you are expecting to feel from the xanax. It's not a particularly euphoric drug, and all it does is calm you down if you are having a panic attack or are feeling particularly anxious. It also happens to be one of, if not the most dangerous benzos to combine with methadone, and the combination has proven fatal for thousands of people. I believe it may be the most common fatal pharmaceutical drug combo. It's not worth chasing a high that doesn't exist, only to fall asleep and never wake up.

36mgs of xanax is way too high of a dose for anybody, let alone a person on 110mgs of methadone that has only been on benzos for 5 weeks. You are looking for something out of the xanax that it simply does not do. Other than kicking in the nod a bit while on methadone, all it will do is kill you.
 
Tolerance is a bitch. You're not getting high anymore.
You're body is stacking up all that alpraz and temaz and you're going to eventually be forced to detox from a rediculously high dose, just so your body functions and metabolizes everything else properly. Methadone, and at the higher doses like that is obviously not helping at all.

This is indeed a very fatal combo. If the temazepams alone don't get you fucked up, I would consider your options. ..Detox down while you can, but under your doctor's orders. It will be the hardest detox of your life.

even though your tolerance is high...i would refrain from mixing high-dose benzos with powerful opiods....i have lost two friends who overdosed on heroin and xanax....but yeah take a break...good luck bro!
 
Everyone in my town dies from the methadone xanax mix. Its crazy, people will never learn. I understand some people can handle a few benzos while being on mmt, or doctors wouldn't script it together. The problem is when people are eating double, triple there dose trying to get that high.
 
^ The thing is, most people go to a different doctor to get their benzos, and don't tell them that they are on MMT. There are some MMT doctors that will prescribe a low dose of benzos to people on MMT, and then there are some clinics that absolutely forbid their patients to be on any benzos, and will kick them off for testing positive for them.

The MMT doctors that prescribe benzos usually don't prescribe xanax, so klonopin seems to be the route that most of these doctors go. For whatever reason, xanax seems to combine very badly with methadone to cause respiratory depression and death.
