Opioids Methadone as an opiate blocker?

I've read here and other places that methadone is not an opiate blocker until somewhere around 50mgs. I'm asking because if I took 30mgs of methadone, would I still feel 25mgs of oxymorphone?

Sorry if this is a n00b question, but I am ignorant as far as methadone goes.

yeah you will certainly feel the 25mg of oxymorphone if it's IV'd

if not I would wait a few hours.

I said a few It really depends on how you feel, if you are nodding on the done or feeling really good, save the oxymorph.

It is not a "blocker" at all. Its a synthetic agonist opiate. Both are a opiate receptor agonists.

it does block the effects of other opiates at 50mg and above, thats why clinics use it for heroin/opiod addiction.

more than "blocking" it in the traditional sense(naloxone), it just overpowers any other opiate high you could achieve, except for oxymorph and hydromorph IV by experience.

I know someone that is on 200mg of methadone every morning and then has to shoot 120mg of Oxymorphone to feel it, but he does feel it haha.

I believe the effects of which you are talking about are present at 80mg or more of methadone for I guess the average person on MMT.
