Whats up guys, I took 15 mgs methadone after taking 15 yesterday as well, and I felt fine all day you know a good opiate buz. Now its late at night and Im feeling real sedated all of a sudden? I keep almost falling asleep but wake up cause my breathing is REALLY slow. Trying to be cautious as I don't wanna OD but not sure where to take it from here.

What is your normal tolerance level?

Do you have a friend or loved one compassionate and understanding enough to watch over you?

Roughtly how many respirations per minute?

Did you mix this methadone with anything else, a benzo perhaps?

No, theirs no one here except me. Normal tolerance is about 15 mgs to get a decent buzz without nodding, didn't take any benzos with it either. Maybe I'm just overreacting who knows. Bpm about 68 that's what I counted.

Man, if you're feeling unwell you shouldn't stay alone, at the least... I know it's early in Cali, if I were you I wouldn't go to sleep. Try walking outside and take a bowl of fresh air.

Excellent advice lou beat me to it.

Maybe take a quick shower with moderate temperature and throw on some fresh clothes, go and have yourself a bagel or something, coffee, read a newspaper. You can always catch up on sleep later.

And I meant respirations. The normal respiratory rate for a health individual is 8-15 per minutes I believe, but it's pretty impossible to check this on your own. Even when I check it on patients I pretend I'm still reading their pulse because they'll psychologically breathe differently so I suppose it was a dumb question.

I'd take a breath of fresh air. Never mind Loulou's Freudian slip ;) Cannabis would just complicate matters and add to your anxiety.

For what its worth I've experienced what you're speaking of and it was often times just anxiety, but you can never be too careful.

Feel better mate.

See if you can get a friend to monitor you.

If your breathing is suppressed I recommend contacting emergency services.

Do not take more methadone or other opiates/depressants.
