Methadone and new girlfriends?

Ok since I've only been on 40mg Methadone (between that and UKs sun beaming down) I've felt awesome and lately have been wanting to persue the normal happy life of a girl friend. I plan on asking a cute princess out soon. I was wondering though.

I was addicted to Heroin for a long time. I am now fully stable and on Methadone. I plan on coming right off Meth now for once, when should I tell her about my past maybe? Should I get with her for a bit and see how she is with some things and if Ishe acts real funny leave? I am sure before I tell her I will make her happy enough not to judge me. Or goto pharmacy daily and wean off this and never look back?

I've no track marks and 25, no history of crime or stealing and yes I don't look an addict in 2 million years. :D

and off-topic 60mg>40mg I regained old emotions I think - I was wonder if that was normal? and does it get better at 25mg and 10mg?

at some point coming off opiates will have emotional overload, thats my experience.

i would maybe wait until the relationship starts to bloom (i.e. not on the first few dates) because to a lot of people its a huge red flag.

i dont have an addiction but occasional rec use has caused relationship problems. I'm all for honesty but you have to develop the bond first IME

I don't think that's something you should say at the beginning of a relationship. It might scare her off. Wait for a bit (not too long), after you've casually been seeing each other and you know each other well.

I mean, if you don't know someone, it's pretty easy to just say "no" if you don't know the guy. But if you do know him, you know he's a good guy, then something like that, when you know the guy is stable, it could be seen over.

i wouldnt tell them until i was off methadone, and confident i wasnt gonna relapse, in fact i wouldnt pursue a relationship until those things have happened<
