Hey guys I posted here about a week ago, I was considering moving countries just to have my pain properly attended to. My doctor has finally seen the light and moved me to 100 mcg fentanyl and 10 mg oxynorm. This isn't the best but it's better than a smack in the face.

I odiously tear through the oxy and patch. So I have a physiological addiction and want to be able to fill the days with methadone. But I odiously can't tell the doctor I been smashing through my meds in first 8 days. So has any one been on methadone at the sametime?

Is my doctor likely to roll with this idea?
Thanks guys

Also I'm in Australia. Very strict health board so if I see my doctor for meth minority doctor will know as soon as he calls the registry

Yeah health wise it is no problem, many people do this with methadone/suboxone. But there is no way your doctor will prescribe you methadone on top of fent and oxynorm.. If he found out you blew threw your meds in 8 days he'd likely cut you off completely. And since you live in Australia, there is no way your doctor won't find out if you get prescribed methadone. Your only choice is to get it off the street.. Or simply USE YOUR MEDS AS PRESCRIBED !!!#*(!

You can use the methadone to fill the days you are out of course.

You can't get them from a doctor though or you will screw your other script.......DON'T TELL YOUR DOC about abusing the meds or ask him for methadone, terrible idea...

A little warning from a methadone user. If you take the methadone too often and your body gets used to it you may shoot your opiate tolerance through the roof and make your other meds not work anymore. Also being addicted to the methadone will change your life forever. The WD is worse than anything I have ever experienced by far.

Doh! I just typed out a response took me about 20 minutes "watching tv" and it wouldn't send lol

To summarize appreciate the response I think approaching a situation with the right information can be half the battle you know.

Had a very painful morning so far. Basically my doctor has told me not to bother with the public system any more and just go see a private pain dr by the name of dr grazziotti. He"s ment to be very well known in the pain management industry lol.

Lucky my GP has put through a request to jump the que 3 month waiting period otherwise!

At the moment I'm thinking I might need a second identity to get methadone, it's a shame because I think it could really turn my life around.

At the moment I just pray for the day where my pain can just be managed adiquitly
