Methadone and Fentanyl in the same day

I'm new to this site but not new to opiates. I have Fentanyl 25mcg/hr patches I change every three days. I also have some methadone 10mg tablets. I DO NOT WANT TO TAKE THESE AT THE SAME TIME! I just took off my patch a few hours ago to change it but didn't put another one on and I wanted to take some methadone about 20mg so two tablets. Would this be okay? Then a few hours after the methadone wore off put another patch on? It's not taking them together so i don't see the harm but I do know both of them have a long half life and I don't know if that will play a roll in any problems occurring. Thank you in advanced for your help. Again I do not want to take both these medications together. I just want to know if taking them a few hours apart would be safe. I'm not opiate Naive, I've done heroin, morphine, norco, percocet, and oxycodone. So I have experience with opiates. I just need advice on this particular medication cuz I know that both together are very dangerous. So I want to make sure if they are a few hours apart that it will be safe. Thank you.

I highly recommend against combining or taking these drugs in close proximity.It could b lethal because of the way methadone metabolizes and it stays in ur system after u stop feeling its affects.For me I would cut patch in half,then cut every side of the patch off only leaving one uncut end attached.so that u can peel the patch apart.Then stick the gel side of patch against ur stomach and tape it down with large medical tape.This makes the gel absorb thru ur skin faster than when u apply it normally.I cut 100mcg patch into 3 even pieces and I can make it last for 2 days rather than taking handfulls of roxys.....Bsafe bro

Id wait 24 ++ hrs after swallowing methadone to put on another fent patch

Yeah, "waiting a couple hours for the methadone to wear off" isn't going to wear. Methadone lasts 24 hours minimum.
You would need to find out exactly how long fentanyl lasts and wait that length of time before doing the methadone. Then you'd have to wait over a day, maybe longer, to put your patch back on. It isn't even worth it.

Plus methadone really isn't very recreational and would probably just make your patch less effective.

I'm not sure of the equivelency but if you take methadone it will last for 24 hours before it starts to wear off, so putting on a patch within 24 hours of taking the methadone could be dangerous.
