Methadone and Diclazepam question.

Hi there folks this is my first post on BL but I've been lurking for a month or so.

I was just wondering if there is anybody out there who has tried diclazepam on top of their prescribed methadone. If so what mil of meth and what dosage of diclazepam.
I'm currently on 110mils oral solution daily and I do suffer anxiety from time to time. So I would like to carry around a benzo for when an attack come on just to calm me down.
I bought 10 diclazepam but now I'm scared taking one may tip me over the edge.

So anyone with first hand experience of this matter, speak up because I'm all ears.

I found diclazepam to be of almost no effect and waste of an RC order. Definitely didn't notice any extra CNS-depression from it.

People on methadone should not take benzos...

This is a very common practice that can land you into some very deep medical trouble.

I'd recommend a antihistamine before taking a benzo on methadone...


Get some doxylamine and knuckle up on 25 to 50 mg...

It is going to add on to the sedation and comfort of the methadone but not make you stuporous (possibly fatally) like benzos can...

Yeah I'm not talking about necking the whole lot in one session. Just 1-2mg 2-3 times a month.
I was wondering if there was anyone out there on methadone who has take diclazepam and if so did the have any unexpected effects?
I tried nitrazepam, Valium and temazapam whilst being prescribed methadone (120ML), with no problems. Probably because I only one pill at a time.

I happen to be on 110 mgs methadone daily and I take diclazepam often. I have a very high tolerance to benzos, but i generally take at least 10mgs of diclazepam at a time and get a nice nod going all day. This is not reccomended especially if you are by yourself because you can asperate and die.

I’m on daily Methadone too, and take benzos at night after day time stimulant use. Usually Etizolam, Deschloroetizolam and Xanax, in low therapeutic doses. ie Alprazolam 0.5mg / Etizolam 1mg

I’ve recently acquired Diclazepam to slowly taper off short acting benzo and is helpful

You CAN safely use therapeutic doses of benzodiazepines if you’re opioid tolerant / stable on daily Methadone. Don’t push it, and mix hi levels of several different CNS depressants …that’s asking for trouble.

If you are stable on daily Methadone for months / years it is perfectly ok to take Diclazepam or any benzodiazepine

As my above reply, I take 80mg Methadone daily for years…..took Valium (Diazepam) 20mg and Xanax 1mg together around 5pm and was perfectly fine

NOTE : Diclazepam has a VERY long half life with Looooong acting active metabolites (Delorazepam) and ACCUMILATION if taking Diclazepam daily is very dangerous if you’re taking 1mg or more

I take Diclazepam 0.5mg (takes 2 to 3 hours for peak serum levels and long acting) + Etizolam 0.5mg (rapid acting / half hour / short acting) in addition to Pregabalin 300mg + Cannabis Indica 5mg

Because I am stable on long term Methadone 80mg for 10+ years, taking a few Valium + Lyrica 300mg after dinner to chill at night isn’t very dangerous….you have to know your limits and understand the complete pharmacological properties of the controlled substances in your bloodstream, the drugs half life, active metabolites, DDI (drug & drug interactions) how the drug is metabolized, etc

You can safely take Diclazepam while being on Methadone.

However DO NOT take hi doses (2-3mg) of Diclazepam daily because SIGNIFICANT accumulation occurs and you can fall asleep at night only to never wake up again. Scary shit.
