Meth use >ADHD medication

Anyone else use meth regularly and then be diagnosed ADHD later and struggle with the medication? I'm on 70mg vyvanse daily and some days add an extra 30mg in and have to wait for my refill. maybe i should ask for more mg's?

just two months of using meth 4 times a week shot my tolerance way up i am 24 and up until 5 months ago the only amps i had taken in my life was dexedrine for a few months when i was 8 i think and now to feel anything from dexedrine i have to take 45mg ER i wish i would have never shot up meth

Wouldn't 45mg ER Dexedrine be around 22.5mg IR? If you're using meth and you can feel 22.5mg D-Amp then you're tolerance isn't too large. I need around 60mg IR and the only amphetamines I've ever done are MDMA (haven't used this in 4+ years) and Dexedrine.

i don't mean 45mg gets me high i can just notice a subtle increase in focus if i want to get high i have to take 120mg

Yeah doing meth frequently or even worse daily can and will fuck up your tolerance for adhd medication since usually meth is more potent. You could up your dosage on your adhd medication but they may not ever really work as good for you as they would of if you didn't have a tolerance (or very little) for meth.

Meth (in non recreational doses) is useful for treating ADHD, actually.

^ Yeah but how many people use street meth in non recreational doses including the OP? I would just cut the meth out if you have legitimate adhd even if you haven't done it in awhile it still could have left an effect on how your needing a stronger/higher dose of adhd medication to get the relief from adhd symptoms since meth screwed all that up.

^ I use 3 or 4 mg methamphetamine hydrochloride at a time to combat ADHD symptoms, occasionally. Personally I found methamphetamine a much better solution than dextroamphetamine.

My question is, if you're already using methamphetamine, why would you start taking prescription amphetamines? Isn't that overkill?

I'm very lucky; I take two 20mg Adderall IR tablets a day and they work very well after one month on 20mg XR to bring down my tolerance. I was shooting a gram of meth a day and couldn't get any one day. I took 300mg of Dexedrine IR in one handful and didn't even get a buzz. I was awake and able to function but not the slightest bit high.

Thank God I'm off that shit now!

you may just need a higher perceived therapeutic dose. I was pondering the same question when i was rx'ed treatment. You will find a dosage that is beyond the threshold but just before recreational. that is the sweet spot where speed can be used as a tool.
