Meth recrystallization?

I just got a bunch of crank that's kinda shitty and it happens that normal purifying methods don't work. I would try a recrystallization but here you can only find 5 or 9% HCl with a few surfactants. Second method would be getting a substance in a salt form and dissolve in into water then basifying it. Would the water where the substance-HCl used to be have remaining HCl so I. could pour the crank in there and recrystallize at least a quarter or it?
